Not anymore.

the classic set piece goal against the run of play and Forest strike first at 56’

can they hold on for 35?

I tuned in about 48 and pool were controlling but not menacing

On another note that Forest manager got dropped on his face in the delivery room

I used to think that sponsor logos on kits looked cheap and tacky but now I think Forest look ratchet without

Forest going to a back five to hold onto the lead

always think that’s a terrible idea. Now the defenders have to change shape and think differently about their responsibilities under pressure. It sucks like the nfl prevent defense sucks

I missed the second half because this just crashed in my backyard. Perhaps it was an omen. Sorry, no idea why it is sideways.

Everton 1-0 Palace, best half I can remember. Battering Palace all over the park. Pickford not troubled. I expect Palsce to add a body in midfield and we’ll see

Dust up during Palace and Everton, looks like it started with a rough challenge on Gordon by Palace, some cards should be coming.

It seems to me like the refs in the Palace/Everton game either missed some fouls in the first half or were calling a loose game which culminated in the chippiness/dust-up but also real casual Premier League fan so could be mistaken

In the NFL, teams can adjust game plans based on an officiating crew’s style and statistics. Any EPL ref can call any kind of game on any given day, and they’ll often adjust mid-game. It’s absolute madness.

Definitely let some things go in the first half that should have been called more strictly.

3-0 Everton. DCL, Gordon, and McNeil on a beautiful give and go back heel from Iwobi. Bern a long time since we dominated a game.

Potter with a first half change of shape, pulling a CB for another CM to go from 3-4-3 to 4-3-3. The United midfield has been dominating so it makes sense, though Kepa has been forced to make a couple nice saves already so we’ll see if the depleted back line comes back to haunt them.

NFL Tackle in the box, penalty. You see things like that let go, but it was a full two-armed tackle which seems stupid to do even by corner scrum standards.

Casemiro with a miracle equalizer in extra time. The ball was millimeters over the line.

Draw is probably the right result, ManU dominated early but I thought Chelsea were more in control after the change of shape. The 3-4-3 works when you have Kante playing like three people in the middle but ManU started what I think is their best midfield trio (Eriksen, Casemiro, and Bruno) and they were just bypassing the Chelsea midfield (similar to how they played against Spurs midweek) and the extra CM there was key.

I am happy I missed the game yesterday. I came home late to watch it, and randomly saw that it was the worst Palace performance of the season and a 3-0 loss, and went to bed as they were already down one.

Plugged in an ready to go for Bochum-Union Berlin in a few hours though.

Wolves dramatically dominated the first few minutes with Leicester just pissing away possession near their own box. 15 minutes later and it’s 2-0 Foxes.

I can report Diego Costa is still Diego Costa. Late hit on a Leicester defender and then goes after the referee, including a clear “Fuck off” at the end. I think Michael Oliver apologized.

Xhaka gave Arsenal the early leasd over Southampton with an almost identical goal to his 1-0 over PSV on Thursday. He has 4 goals this season after 3 combined the previous 3 seasons. His last two, both right footed are his only right footed goals for Arsenal.

Wretched set piece marking might kill Marsch’s Leeds tenure today, barring the next 20 minutes.

Man, Union Berlin playing last-place teams…1 point in their last three games. Cost them the UCL last year and who knows what that atrocious game against Bochum will cost them this season.
