As to the bolded:Whatever's not nailed down?
In all seriousness, it's Porcello, Benintendi, Martinez, and Vazquez who are the most obvious choices. Moreland is almost back, so if he hits at all he'd be an option before the deadline. Maybe dangle Barnes. Try to ship out Hembree. If they're going to sell, get rid of anyone who is not in the long-term plans and, in the case of JD, someone you have a chance to bring back if he opts out. If he insists on playing in the field or he won't re-sign, shake his hand and say see you later. No need for a guy whose back is that bad while insisting on activities that not only make it worse but make your outfield defense worse. Make Chavis the full-time DH since he's not the greatest defender anyway and use the savings from Martinez's contract to go out and get some guys that can give you a chance at winning another title in the next couple of seasons. I might even consider moving Price if Porcello isn't getting any kind of decent return (which he probably won't) and just spend on pitching in the off-season.
But I'm not a baseball executive and am probably talking out of my ass.
I didn't have a chance to look at the pending free agent list before posting. As to the bolded:

Maybe they'll bring him up once Pablo is off the books.Rusney > Benintendi
Couldn't agree more, Palmer is spot on, what an epic performance, he'll always be an Orioles legend...……….Palmer, Cuellar, McNally, Wojceishitshow. One of the Orioles greatest
He's either opting out or still gonna be owed 3/60 to DH. Who's going to give up much for either option? The Yankees got EE for their 27th ranked prospect.I disagree that JDM has no trade value. He could be a huge get for someone if he hits up down the stretch.
Palmer didn't say one of the greaters pitchers of all time, he said one of the greatest pitching performances.Couldn't agree more, Palmer is spot on, what an epic performance, he'll always be an Orioles legend.
A lot of great pitching performances against the Sox this year.Palmer didn't say one of the greaters pitchers of all time, he said one of the greatest pitching performances.
One hit against an offense that put up 17 the day before? yeah, it was a great pitching performance
If we score a run, the ice cream is on me.okay, I give. Ice cream on me. c’mon over.
I'll go with the Red Sox are worn out after taking the LET'SGOO'S!! behind the woodshed last night and laying an epic ass kicking on them.Palmer didn't say one of the greaters pitchers of all time, he said one of the greatest pitching performances.
One hit against an offense that put up 17 the day before? yeah, it was a great pitching performance
That sounds messy. If we score a run, the ice cream is on me.
Ignite the winning rallyWhat's the upside on stealing a base?
3/60 is hardly a bad deal for Martinez. Meanwhile Encarnacion has a 20m option and a 5m buy out, and he's 5 years older. I'm not advocating for reading Martinez but he should certainly get more than Encarnacion. He's either opting out or still gonna be owed 3/60 to DH. Who's going to give up much for either option? The Yankees got EE for their 27th ranked prospect.
Not laughingSo Cashner makes his return. It will be mildly hilarious if the Os hit him. For fans of irony.
I look forward to Remy pronouncing the name of the O's pitcher: Wojciechowski. (thank goodness for copy/paste)
The game is scheduled to begin at 1:05. I, for one, would not mind a Heat Delay.
Geaux Sox, etc.
He got Mancini'd, plain and simple.Thought Cashner was supposed to save the season.
All three outs had an xBA over .400.That's a pretty fair trio of defensive plays that inning
May not be a bad deal but he had no suitors last time he was a free agent because he's limited on defense. And no team is giving up anything of value to pick up a contract like that on him, especially given he can opt out any of the next three seasons.3/60 is hardly a bad deal for Martinez. Meanwhile Encarnacion has a 20m option and a 5m buy out, and he's 5 years older. I'm not advocating for reading Martinez but he should certainly get more than Encarnacion.
Well, the season will continue. The wild-card hopes should dissipate. And that's a wrap on the season.
Shades of 2011 minus the over the top celebration after the game ended. And that's a wrap on the season.
A lot of teams need someone who can hit grounders to move runners over.I disagree that JDM has no trade value. He could be a huge get for someone if he hits up down the stretch.
