Son gets the first goal of the Mourinho era. He did well to make a yard for himself but West Ham made it easy, and the keeper could have saved it.

Son makes a great pass to Lucas Moura who gets his first of the season from close range and the second goal for Spurs who are showing the kind of desire and commitment you only get when a new manager walks in the door.

West Ham are shit today so far.

Oh my goodness. That should have been the third for Spurs. West Ham getting caught on the break again. Moura scuffed that shot.

Oh well Kane makes it 0-3. Terrible day at the office for the Irons. I'd just been talking to my old boy saying this might be a good chance to play Spurs...what do I know?

One hour in and West Ham get their first shot on target. My gran could have saved it but let's not be too grudgeful.

Union Berlin with an early 1-0 lead on Bundesliga leaders Borussia Mönchengladbach. I’m going to have to leave this soon for Palace-Liverpool though.

Does anyone use nbcsports gold? I just signed up so I could watch more games and today is the first time I am trying to watch live. The quality is terrible.
I use it and the quality is quite good.

Palace look pretty good so far. Hope this goal stands up.

LFC have been shit all day. TAA especially bad. CP attacking the CBs and it's working. And even though Salah has not been great, when he's not out there they re much less scary on the counter

I signed up today to watch Palace-LFC and the stream wouldn’t even start on Roku. I had to run a feed from my phone to HDMI.

This Southampton team has been diving all day and gotten every call.. including this PK

edit: it doesn't excuse the stupid habit Arsenal defenders of putting hands on arms.. but the forward fell over like he'd been shot after barely getting touched. Ref was 100 yards behind the play but was able to make the call.

Southampton is quickly becoming one of my hated teams. Another team that parks the bus getting rewarded.

edit: Emery's tactics still suck.

Not sure how Palace’s overturned goal is a big deal when the foul was almost a carbon copy of the Zaha foul to draw the kick in the first place.

The exact same thing just happened at Brighton, except Maddison encroached and then scored the rebound. They retook the kick.
Were both teams ruled to have infringed?

Law 14 says it's an indirect kick for no goal for attacking team infringement.

It wasn't much of a push (it could be called on every set piece I think) and he wasn't involved with the play at all.

But ultimately, Ayew cost us three goals today (missed to sitters and took that off the board).

Couldn’t say. Watching the Goal Rush feed, which is only cutting over to Brighton-Leicester. There were a lot of players in the box.

Southampton is making a case for 10 or so minutes of stoppage time... they've laid down more than people testing a mattress.

Even after miraculously pulling off a point they still get boo'ed off the pitch.
I don't think the team is getting booed as much as the manager and the board. That and they shouldn't be losing or tied with a team 19th in the table.

They've also been dropping points for months and to a number of teams that aren't good.

That quick restart is still ridiculous and should have been called back. Ball was moving and nowhere close to the spot of the foul.

Arsenal also have to do something about their defense...they have been creating ridiculous penalty situations all season. And continuing the habit of playing around the back (especially with this defense) is also ridiculous. Each week the offense and defense are miles apart with no real midfield help, while creating a ton of pressure on themselves by the tactics that their manager is employing.

Agreed, that was a fed up with the entire organization boo.

Sheffield United looming very strong and deserving of their 1-0 lead at halftime.

ManU comes out looking better, but turns it over and Sheffield punishes them. 2-0.

Nice counter and lazy dropping back by ManU makes it 2-0.

Does Woodward have Poch’s cell number?

Old Man Rashford makes it 3-2. Incredible. What a blow for The Blades who played a perfect 70 minutes.
