[twitter]GlobeFluto[/twitter] - Bell Centre is sold out tonight. Passion.

21,000 unhappy Habs fans?  All in one spot?  Superb.

EDIT: I STILL can't figure out how to properly tag tweets.  Dammit.

Is it a douche move to wear my Bergeron jersey to the bar by myself? I feel like yes it is a douche move, but still want to do it from a karma perspective. Need a bunch of second opinions to set me straight.
I'm not a jersey guy personally, but I don't think it's a douche move. Wear what you want (especially for karma/mojo/superstitious reasons). Rep the colors proud.

It's no douchier than wearing a Bruins jersey in the Bell Centre at Game 4 of a Bruins sweep.

Or so I've heard.

This is one of those very rare times when I legitimately fear losing more than I want to win.  Thus is the extent of my hatred for these pieces of garbage we call Canadiens.

Fuck them.

Win.

Dear Montreal Canadiens,

Bonjour!  I hope this gets to you in time, because I wanted to thank all of you for coming to visit over the last couple of weeks.  It's been really great having you guys in town to enjoy the second round of the playoffs with us.  Let me tell you, that PK Subban is a riot with his flipping and flopping all over the ice.  And don't even get me started on how adorable Brendan Gallagher's cute little face is.  It's been an absolute pleasure, and I hope that you guys can come back in the fall.

But unfortunately, your trip to the states is fucking over.  Better light the flames in the Bell Centre, because it's going to be a cold fucking summer in Canada after tonight.  Unfortunately, your flopping and douchiness skills provide no tangible benefit on the golf course, so you may want to get in a practice round or two this afternoon before the game.  Have a little fun and take it easy for the afternoon.  Because tonight, it ends.

So grab your fucking passports and a fistful of Kleenex for the ride home.  Because as fun as it's been watching you think you have a chance, it's time for reality to set in.  You're going home, and you're not playing hockey again for a long, long time.

Love,

Chuck

PS. Fucking win.

Just don't play stupid and the Bruins win.

No dumb penalties, no idiotic puck handling in their own end, no missing of open nets.

Yup. Behind the net. And that scene aired literally moments after the final horn on Monday night.

Nothing was better than Vancouver in game 6. They cut to them after the 4th goal in the first ten minutes, it's in Dafoomie's video of the game. They looked like a group of lemmings.

Take it from someone who lives in the NYC area.  Wear the damn colors loud and proud.  It's the best feeling in the world to walk into a NY bar wearing Boston colors and telling everyone to go fuck themselves after Boston wins.

Seconded. That being said, I would keep my head on a swivel. Rangers fans are capable of extreme douchery.

Going tonight. Loge 10. Staying focused on work is quite a challenge.

I was talking more from a general concept of "grown ass man wearing a hockey jersey in public" douchey perspective. I could give a shit about being in NYC, they can F off.

Nah I wear my jerseys around on game day in NY.  My gf's brother wore his Rangers jersey to work today.  But he's a douche.

Given the tension this game is likely to produce, it's best if I watch the game in isolation. You are likely far more mature than I (short putt, really...). If the GF's Ranger fan brothers are reasonable that could tilt the scale.

4 hours, 52 minutes.

RedOctober, I am making a similar choice. My younger brother invited me over, and since watching at my older brother's and then my father's homes led to two super bowl losses, and a couple of nut crushing Bruins playoff losses, I think my choice is made for me despite me wanting to actually watch it with him.

I will be catatonic most of the game. Having people around me that expect me to carry on a conversation with them is just annoying. Hockey is on. Stop talking.

Also, when I "score" the Bruins normally score. The wife has been so instructed, and I'm bringing home  surprise present just in case she is in a foul mood and has a "headache".

Nick Esasky and Myt1 can certainly tell you that he is much jollier and more fun to be around than I am. I actually have 4 different friends with a birthday today and it's also the birthday of another friend's late father who was a huge Bruins fan. It's quite the day.

If you had tickets to the game I would instruct your brother to physically harm you to prevent you from going.
He was at both games, too. And at game 7 against Toronto (they came back after he left) and game 6 SCF last year. Oh and we were both at the elimination game against the Caps, too.

It's all his fault, but he's scarier than I am now.

I was trying to decide what to have for lunch today.  At first, I thought cheeseburger...

NO!  I will eat a Wendy's #1 meal with a Dr. Pepper for dinner tonight.  Same thing I ate throughout the playoffs last year.

We win.
