To wipe the memory slate clean. Game 7. For all the marbles. Because I want to live in a world where I have seen the Bruins win Lord Stanley's Cup. WIN THIS FUCKING GAME!

I don't post very often but felt the need to add to this awesome thread ...

I became a Bruins fan in 74 after my Dad died ,.. I was 10. Many a night I watched on a small black and white tv, rabbit ears watching channel 38. Then playing street hockey with my boys in Lowell as most of us could not skate. How we all loved the B's and would prtend to be them. Really loved that team and remember Gilbert in goal and Bobby and ... of course, Gary Doak. Kenny Hodge and the Chief. I could go on but that team saved me as a kid, gave me focus and I fell in love with Boston sports. Huge Sox fan and I cried in 04 but for me, the Bruins, the BIG BAD Bruins started it all .... I'm 47 now and I still well up thinking of 74.

Bring Lord Stanley's Cup home boys, bring it home!

Off to the local bar, wearing a long sleeve T under a short sleeve T under a road Bergeron jersey.

For 91, for 18 and now, with this officially being his last game, for 28.

It's way to early to be studying for the bar all day. So long as you watch lectures you're fine till 7/4.

Two things.

1) Last night I had a dream that the Bruins scored first on a penalty shot. No joke.

2) I've been studying Wills for the Bar Exam all day. In what is either the subtlest or lamest possible "sign", I just noticed the gigantic key-ring thing (it's a 5 x 7 metal plate) they gave me for my private study room is black and gold. Usually they are red or blue.

As a former Whalers fan, I don't normally care about the Bruins and the NHl that much. But watching this Bruins and following the fans here in RMPS I feel this is a special team, much like the 2001 Patriots. They're easy to root for: a bunch of likeable guys and standup hockey players. They're a heroic team, and now they stand at the precipice of their Holy Grail, with one last obstacle to overcome for the Cup. Fortunates the crew standing in the way are a bunch of passive-aggressive sniveling nancies who deserve a slap in the face with the back of Marchand's glove. So protect the NHL from floppy hockey, protect hockey fans around the world from Vancouver, and most of all, protect the Civic!

IT'S GO TIME!!

I'm killing time by watching the clock, grinding my teeth, clenching my fists and rocking in my chair.

How'd it come out?
Great. Nice and even. Thrilled with it.

At least you had that option. I've just been drinking, staring at the clock and the tv for the last hour and a half
I just took all the clothes out of my dresser and re-folded them.

Drinking isn't an option right now because I have to drive my car quite a bit tonight (in between periods).

This is it... Bruins were expected to be steamrolled by the Canucks, have shown themselves to be up to the challenge.Playing with the house money, nothing to lose, everything to gain, a hot goalie, the Stanley Cup in the building...WIN!!!

Between here and everywhere.
Well, sleeping worked for all of like...2 hours.

I'm awake. I'm waking most of my platoon up with me to watch this game. I need people with guns to keep me from killing myself should the worst happen.

Dear Comcast. Why must you suck? Why must your shitty box die 1 hour before game 7? Seriously.

//side note, I work 1 office park away from an office building of theirs in Waltham. I might poop in a box and leave it as a present.

I hear you.

Wishing the greatest joy for all the young Bruins fans here, in your lifetime the Bruins haven't won a cup. I was 12 watching Orr sail thru the air, and 14 watching Orr spin at the blueline, and drive home slap shot after slap shot on the power plays. The disappointment when Dryden showed up at the end of that season and stoned the Bruins in that playoffs was palpable. Crazy sport that allows a player to join a team at the end of the year and play in the playoffs eh?

I now watch the NHL only in the playoffs, and am amazed at how much the game has changed, where did all the fighting go? But as everyone has said, PLAYOFF NHL hockey has NO PEER in sports, and a game 7 exponentially speaks to that.

Tonight, the Bruins get back a cup, so in 40 years you guys can post here to the new wave of fans, and regale them with your memories, and root them on to their successes..

Called both my boston and vancouver brothers today. They have some sick old bordeaux wager going on.

I need to be around when that bet is settled.

Dear Mayor Menino.
Go ahead and shut down the bars. After 2nd period all Boston bars should serve complimentary Ale...Ginger Ale because after tonight Canada is still gonna be dry.
