I know I"m getting way ahead of my self, but I'm almost ecstatic about the Marchand-Bergeon-Seguin line next year.

I think the most surprising thing that happened tonight was Mark Recchi styling through like four Canucks and nearly scoring if not for a couple of hooks.

I'd like to apologize to my employer right now for the last work day and tomorrow's. I owe you some extra effort sometime later this summer.

The only line to score was Recchi's (even if he wasn't on the ice for the shortie). Amazing end to a fantastic career, he was my pick in the Win it For thread. Class of the league, played the game the right way every day of his career, so happy that he gets to go out on top.

I'll be fulfulling my promise through the weekend. Give me some time.

I almost cried when Chara handed Recchi the Cup. I didn't cry through the 4 funerals of my grandparents.

NHLN going through a couple Canuck interviews. Sad pandas obviously. I do feel for Kesler who looked like one of the only Canucks to bring his A game tonight and he was obviously playing hurt.

Toronto!

Don't forget Martins Karsums. We also got the Tampa Bay 2010 second rounder in that deal that we traded with Bitz and the immortal Craig Weller for Seidenberg and Bartkowski. Chiarelli should make more trades.

Seriously, Josh Beckett is the victim of the least-heralded one-hitter in BoSox history. hah!

For the record that was part of a salary dump. But I'm glad Chiarelli was more lucky than good.

PSK and Shyness...this one goes to you. You've been hardcore in this forum. Staples for sure. I was heartbroken when they lost to Carolina a while back, but this feels better. To all of the regulars that never pulled the plug on this team, congrats. I'm happy I got to share this with you all.

would have been awesome if he pitched a perfect game and no one saw it
If not for one infield hit...

Honestly, if it wasn't for the Bruins, that's all anyone would be talking about right now. There would be a JFB splooge thread at the top of the main board.

It's a nice win and all, but just imagine if the B's weren't saddled with a 'leaky' goaltender - they might have won the Cup, like, weeks ago, right?

Yep, karma sure is a bitch, right Roberto?

Thelma & Louise were -8 total (-4 each), and when you add Burrows and Bieksa in, it totals -13. The Bruins dominated the Canucks stars when in counted, with who it counted, and at all times.

And, most importantly, which Vancouver television station purchased the broadcast rights a few days ago?

The Bruins are going to appear in an NHL "history" playoffs commercial as the champions of 2011. yes, that is actually going to happen.

Looch with his dad who is fucking BEAMING right now. So cool. He wasn't great throughout these playoffs but he was on the ice for and contributed to a lot of huge goals, and it's pretty much a lock that he was playing through a significant injury or two. One possibility I've heard is a nose issue making it difficult to breathe. Probably some lower body stuff too. Regardless, I fucking love that guy and I'm so happy he's a Bruin.
