If you think Tuesday's loss is the absolute end, I question. I question not of the Celtics. Not of Joe, not of Jayson, not of Jaylen. Or anyone else you can name. I question of you. Every last one of you. More specifically, I question why. I question you specifically. Because why should you be afraid of the worst? Dare the fears of our power, the strength of that power in the vision for #18. Using that daringness, and perhaps just then it matters less if we are afraid. Instead, I choose to believe in myself, this team, and its hope. Hope, you see, in fear's shadow, that's my greatest motivation. If you're still fearful? Shakespeare once penned in Antony and Cleopatra that in time we hate that which we often fear. We can hate this. Sure we can. But life isn't that simple. It doesn't get more forgiving. It doesn't get easier. As must we, as must the Celtics: With greater resilience and with greater strength. Let go of what we wanted, a win in four or five. But live the life planned for us, in seven.

These fuckers have tried to bury us, under a mountain of shit, literal and figurative. But did they know we were seeds? About to blossom? And that shit was fucking fertilizer, to give us further growth? And should a branch fall off, a leaf fall by the wayside? Fucking clean it. It can hurt more than the pain of the initial tear. But you've got to repair it.

Go onto the end. Provide hate to the city that loves. For without love, there is no hate. Use that hatred, that sorry twisted, gutted feeling as power to control into strength, to move forward. The emotional ties that bore us together can be shattered just as fast. Just ask any of us how we felt five hours ago before Game Five tipped off. Now it's time to replicate those feelings to another city. We shall go on to the end, fight in Philadelphia, with our evergrowing strength and confidence. The courts, the hoops, the three-point line. But without surrender.

This game is not the end for the Celtics. Nor the beginning of Boston's end. Rather, this game will be just the end of the beginning.

I’ve invested too much time and faith into this team to give up now….bringing this back home for Game 7

Make shots and move the ball on early offense. Fight Embiid and Harden for every inch of real estate, every possession. Hands up, but do not foul them. If they make shots over you from spots a bit further out than usual, they probably win. Play Smart on Embiid if he is high or mid-posting, with AL/TL as help defenders. Try to get him into foul trouble. Hopefully Grant can manage to drape his body on Embiid without parading him to the FT line.

Be assignment oriented, even against their role players. Way too many times, a missed blockout or pickup ended up in a scrub scoring a big bucket.

I expect a great game 6 out of this group just like last year's Bucks season saver.

If not, whatever man, I got a backlog of video games to play in my spare time.

Doc, Harden, and Embiid don’t have good playoff records. Doc and Harden have straight up bad records actually. Apply some pressure next game and make them think about blowing a 3-2 lead….
Get it done and bring it back to Boston

I wouldn’t be surprised if they lose by 30, win by 30, or anything in between. Would at least like to see what a Game 7 at the Garden holds. Punk Philly.

Be like the Bruins and put yourself in position for a Game 7 nutpunch!

Or like the Bruins against Toronto and put yourself in position to be the Game 7 nutpuncher!

Either way it’s very obvious this series is coming back to Boston.

As we chanted in the Garden at the end of 1982 Game 5 against these very Sixers: See You Sunday!

1982 broke my heart. Archibald injured. But they went into Philly and gutted it out in Game 6.

Go get it in Philly. We’ll deal with Game 7 later.

Time for Tatum to show the world what a superstar can do to carry a team. LFG.

My 10 year old daughter refused to leave until the final buzzer on Tuesday. I texted my wife, who had an early morning Wednesday, that she should sneak out with 4 minutes to go, but kiddo was right and we were wrong. She played 48, and that's exactly what our squad must do tonight.

My owner bought me the tickets for tonight, so I decided to take one of my employees. Philly fan, but honestly a casual basketball fan - not a Sixers diehard or anything. Fun guy to hang with though.

He came in today and asked me - you’re not really gonna wear Celtics stuff tonight right? I was like, wow, you are in for a lonnnnnggg night.

Plus, those final minutes were the C's best all night, thanks to the Caucasian Crew.

I’m still baffled by game 5. Still think Cs are the better squad. Still think they win the series and the title.

Sux to be a Sixers fan tonight!

Losing to Philadelphia is a pretty terrible outcome for this team. Not because the 76ers aren't good - we already obliterated that notion in game one. But simply because its Philadelphia. Its not even a real city. Its a small town that acts as a bedroom community for the more interesting places that surround it like Camden, Trenton and Wilmington.

Please don't lose to this discount Scranton squad.

LFG!

You've been at your new gig for a while, yeah? Enough PTO accrued to start the next 9 game threads in a row?

I’ve noticed a decrease in your game thread presence the last two games….this looks like a good omen for tonight
JTB has been quite busy assisting The Red Sox in their baseball excellence as of late. Indeed that mojo here is sorely needed and appreciated.

My youth basketball team was called the Sixers. We were a terrible 0-12 my first season, in which none of the boys on my team would pass me the ball. I hated the Sixers then, I hate them now. Once and for all, run them into oblivion and stifle their crusty slow pnr offense.

Need that G6 energy from Tatum and the crew tonight. I expect them to come out with their hair on fire.

I think every single jumper that he made was nothing but net.

Tatum with 3 3s in the 1st quarter. It's almost impossible to believe that he's actually done this in the postseason already, game 3 against Atlanta. Can't take another slow start from him.
