What a great game. Tuukka was enormous.

The really great part is that they basically erased the ratfuckery engineered by the NHL in game 5. Fuck off, Toronto!

right here
Feel like that was their most complete game of the series. Tuukka was pretty huge and I hope that's not overshadowed in the final score.

That boarding on Nordstrom should be a suspension as well... I doubt the league has the balls to do it for game 7 though.

What an effort by this team tonight, Tuukka was nails, forechecking was great, very few rebounds for the Blues/second chances.

And Charlie McAvoy in his post game interview was tremendous, just spoke from his heart and really was open and honest.

Great kid.

Shame that end of game penalties don't carry over to the next game in the playoffs.. that slash and those two cross-checks were basically thrown knowing there was only 21 seconds left.. so cheap and no real consequences.

apparently an escalator broke at enterprise and a bunch of blues fans trying to leave early got stuck, couldn't happen to a nicer bunch

They weren’t aware that they double as stairs?
I don't know how it broke, maybe it like fell apart or something, I just know because I'm friends with one of the blues fans that was leaving and he posted it

This has ended up quite a bit like the 2011 series where the Bruins were extremely strong in their wins while the opponent won by much closer margins. Feeling very good.

The escalators don’t break, they purposely shut them down and when they do run they only allow like 10 people on at a time even though the thing foes up like 3 floors.

Went to the game we played there in Feb, it’s maddening.

Somewhere earlier in the thread (before game start), someone posted that he Blues rented out the top floor of a bar tonight for their afterparty.
I wonder if they had a contingency plan, or if there’s an empty bar with house music blaring, women standing around, and a bunch of champagne on ice unopened. Like Kenny Powers’ Independence Day party in “Eastbound and Down”

Saw periods 1&2. Had to leave for work and listened to 3rd period on a shitty AM station w/ Kenny Albert. B's still struggling to clear pucks in the early going...did they just turn it on in the third? What changed?
I keep expecting them to dominate period 3 like they have all playoffs, seems like they figured it out tonight?
Kuhlman was a nice change of pace. Z looked much better too, I thought.
Huge win. CUP NEXT!!

I think part of the puck clearing success is they stopped throwing it up the boards. The Blues always seem to thwart clears that rattle along the boards, but we have luck passing or skating through the middle.

The main difference in the period was just the Bruins started shooting.

Weirdly in the history of Game 7 deciders in Boston, all of them have been against just two cities: LA and StL. All but one have ended well.
1957 Celts over StL Hawks
1960 Celts over StL Hawks
1962 Celts over LAL
1966 Celts over LAL
1967 StL Cards over Sox
1984 Celts over LAL
2019 v StL Blues

edit: should have said deciders in the Championship Finals

I got the go ahead from the wife to fly home if i could find some "reasonably priced" tickets for Wednesday night.

That's enough for me to know I married the right person... but "reasonably priced" might mean something different to me than it does to her. LOL

Holy shit, this was incredible.
