Pacers are a fantastic offensive team. C's needed to be locked in defensively from the opening tip, and they weren't.Yeah, our shooting is pretty rough. Indiana too seems to be good at the sneak-from-behind steal, and that's caught our guys off guard a few times. I'm starting to wonder if Indiana is just not a good matchup for us?
If we find out he got concussed early in Q1 with that shot to his head it wouldn't shock me.Man Tatum's shooting woes seem to have returned.
Shooting a three getting touched on the elbow of your shooting arm can completely alter the shot. That shouldn't be a foul, but it is
It is, by rule, a correct uphold...but only because the review standard sucks. To me, that's just not enough contact. It’s really amazing the NBA can call that a foul, review it and it’s a foul.
100% Any contact with the shooting arm is going to get called. I just wasn’t sure that there was contact from the angle they showed.Shooting a three getting touched on the elbow of your shooting arm can completely alter the shot.
I agree. It was the right call by rule but it’s ridiculous. He may have possibly grazed him.It is, by rule, a correct uphold...but only because the review standard sucks. To me, that's just not enough contact.
Yup. They both have to be a lot better to win this one. (And Jrue, who has been awful)Well, we can all agree that Tatum and Brown, 2-13 from three, isn't going to cut it.
very bad effort. It happens. Not the norm.C's mailing it in on defense against an elite offensive team. Bad combination.
He's a career 33% 3 point shooter, and shooting 31% so far this year. Sometimes they just hit the shots you give them. Why are we not guarding Siakam?
These are wide open non-challenged looks though. His numbers would be much higher if he got these looks every game. He's a career 33% 3 point shooter, and shooting 31% so far this year. Sometimes they just hit the shots you give them.
To my eyes it is mostly defense, and a bit of very aggressive Indiana offense. Maybe it comes back some, but likely only if the D picks up. This isn't fluky offense, imoAllowing a 56% FG seems bad. But could be shooting variance I guess.
He's not a guy that takes a lot of contested 3's. He's Marcus Smart, give him 6 shots from 3 even with some space and he's gonna hit 2-3 of them, not 5. Plenty to pick at about today's effort, I'm not upset with how they're defending Siakam. These are wide open non-challenged looks though.
