Moving the Line
O Muse, sing of Boston's pride, in green arrayed,
With banners hoisted high, in glory displayed.
Eighteen bright championships the Celtics hold,
While Indiana waits, dreams stale and cold.

Last spring’s clash, a sweep in Eastern might,
Saw Celtics soaring, Pacers cast from sight.
In four swift games, the Pacers broke and fell,
Bound by Boston’s spell, in a green-cast knell.

How frail their defense, a mere paper wall,
Each player stumbles, each barrier falls.
From deep, Boston strikes with fury and fire,
With no exceptions to stand amid the mire.
The Pacers concede, each one out of tune,
And Boston’s three-point rain eclipses the moon.

Oh Tyrese Haliburton, their fleeting hope,
But bound by fragility, a perilous slope.
His health as fickle as autumn’s breath,
Leaving Indiana to ponder defeat and death.

And Larry Bird, a son of Hoosier land,
Yet his legacy rests in Boston’s hand.
The Hick from French Lick, in green did he soar,
A symbol of triumph on Boston’s floor.
Indiana may claim his birthplace and past,
But his heart beat for Boston, steadfast and vast.

And our Pritchard, young Payton, swift and spry,
Did bring down his namesake with a Pritchslap high.
Kevin, Indiana’s leader, met his match,
In Boston’s Pritchard, a lightning dispatch.

So here we stand, O Celtics, crowned and bold,
While Indiana languishes, their story old.
They chase what Boston has long since won,
In a race that ends with only one.

Let Boston’s might forever be king,
As Pacers fade, without crown or ring.

Seems like hitting Tatum in the face is not actually allowed in the rules, doesn't it?

Ahh, it was Tatum's head running into someones body so that's not as clearly a foul as first replay appeared.

Pacers definitely more intense so far
This is a circle game for them especially starting the year 1-3. It’s another road game for Boston. There figures to be much greater urgency from the Indiana side in this one.

Agreed. Makes for a great test. Let’s see if the Celts want to rise up or are content to lose by 15+.

Indiana 9/12 at the rim. Celtics 4/8. Rim defense continues to be an issue.

Absolutely hated Tatum settling for a step back 3 at the end of the quarter. Just don’t like that type of basketball

PP has really had an impressive start---I wasn't as down on him as some, but I never imagined he'd be as lethal a threat as he has been this year thus far. He is just a gunner, and aggressive

He's so good at setting his feet and if he does he's like 100% from three. (Unlike a guy like Hauser who has a quicker release.)

I was just about to post about him.

I don’t know if he will ever be able to play a bunch in the playoffs but, goddamn can he help out a lot in the regular season. Dude can shoot

where I was last at
Yup. Everyone wants to be the first team to beat the defending NBA champs. In a way, it would almost be good to lose this one, to get it over with.
Yup no one wants to lose by 30 at home
AND
A case can be made and probably was in the Indy Star, with a little luck last year.
.

That was a tough series

Pretty sure nobody had Nesmith becoming an elite defender when he came out of Vandy.

They’re playing pretty crappy overall. Indy treating this like Game 7 ECF isn’t helping. Mathurin is a really good young player.

I don't know if it's a hustle issue, but it seems like we've gotten our hands on literally every single shot we've missed but it's turned into points maybe twice. Every other time the tap either goes down as another missed shot or bounces directly into the hands of a Pacer.

Tatum and Brown being in shooting funks at the same time, likely, isn't sustainable.

Mathurin has a lot of Jordan Clarkson in his game being able to put up points in a hurry. His upside is to do more than this too….he even wears Clarkson’s #00.
