Would really like to see JDB and Pasta turn it up tonight. They are the fastest skaters on the top lines and need to punish the plodding Blues. Bergy and Marshy need to do their thing and have a +2 rating on the night. The defense needs to stay healthy. Rask needs to be a beast.

And the fucking Boston Bruins need to stop taking the Blues shithousery lying down.

LFG!!

DeBrusk was on T&R this morning. Big night for him.

Still waiting for the first line to get going. I'm not giving them credit for PP goals. I want 5 on 5 action.

You usually gotta pay extra for a party that big.

I'm ready to run through a fucking wall right now. If Chara comes out to start the game I'm going to jump onto the Blues bench and give Craig Berube a wet willy myself.

Between here and everywhere.
Not that the Garden will need any more reason to do so - but the fucking top of that building better come off if Chara and Gryz step onto the ice for warmups.

If Gryz and Chara are back, who sits? Go with 7 D and sit Backes or Heinen? Or 6 D and sit Clifton?

Interesting call, especially since Chara might not be able to go the whole way.

I was in LA on Monday night and saw several folks in Blues hats. They angered me greatly, especially the ones I saw after the game ended. Make these yahoos, and all of their ilk, miserable!

What sight seeing him glide onto the ice for the morning skate.

Hockey players are a different animal, it's why we all love the sport so much.

The team had better feed off of this and run these assholes out of the building tonight; I want to see a no doubter, fucking sick of hearing about the Blues.

I still go 7D if both Chara and Grzelcyk are good to go. Backes has offered nothing, can't hurt to cycle others through his spot

Honest question - if Chara can't talk/direct much, how much will that affect his ability to stay organized with his ice mates?

Also, hockey players continue the proud tradition of being completely batshit insane. My Gawd.

Is there any way Chara can play if he can't breathe through his mouth? I want to believe, but...

You know, I've kind of been missing that little extra that the Stanley Cup Finals normally bring. Like, it's been fun and I finally got that nervous feeling during the end of Game 4 that I hadn't felt since the Toronto series, but it hasn't quite gotten to that level yet. You know, the point where you're refreshing the screen every two minutes or checking your watch to see if it's gametime yet and you can't quite sleep right because you're 98% excited and 2% scared.

Now it's there.

If Chara just skating did that for me, imagine what it should do for the rest of this team.

Is it 8:23 yet?

I agree with those who say that 7D instead of Backes makes sense in the context of the way the series has gone.

As for Chara, save him just for PK? (And for blowing the roof off of the building when he checks someone into next week on his first shift. That might make me run through my TV).
He should trade in "33" for "T-100."

(having said that, its the way of the NHL that something will happen to someone else and Chara will play 25 minutes and get the GWG.

That feeling I got when I say him take the ice...chills.

In the house tonight, promise to be loud. Should have sent the note in to school today for my 9yos absence tomorrow.

I just tried going up my stairs with my jaw clenched shut. I can't imagine how he is going to play like that. You would think any sort of impact would be jarring. I wonder if they'll have some sort of modified mouth guard in there acting as a buffer and maybe with an opening to breathe. This is crazy even thinking about it.

I'd have to imagine it's too late for that--he's got to be wired shut.

I can’t even imagine. Just having to breathe through your nose at that heart rate. I’d feel like I was suffocating. This is like next level crazy even for him.

Now my manager wants to meet with the team and talk about improving efficiency. That's really not my mindset right now. I'm not very...efficient today at work.

I have a parking pass available for tonight if anyone can use it. It was $50 but whatever, would rather it be put to use.

Even if one of them is back, the emotional lift is enormous.

Over 5 hours to go and I’m already loaded from an unbelievable tasting menu / wine pairing. Poor me :fonz:

You almost have to go with 7 D imo. Can't have a situation where Chara dresses and then can't actually go or has to leave early.

Given Backes's relative ineffectiveness, this really makes the most sense. its not like there's some dynamo winger in the wings.
Anyone else think that maybe Backes's play/style has been holding back DeBrusk?

Rumblings by Rear Admiral of Grz not being cleared to play tonight. Nothing I’ve seen that’s official yet
Maybe the not-non contact practice didn;t turn out so well?

Binnington seems to give up a lot of rebounds. If the Bruins aren’t peppering him with shots tonight I may lose my temper.

I’ve got the feeling that the 3rd line is going to come up huge tonight. Future generations will refer to this as the “Coyle Game”.

The only thing that will stop the B’s from winning tonight is if the building falls down from the crowd reaction to Chara coming out of the tunnel.
