Long day. Long, long day.

End it with a 8-0 thumping of these trashmonsters and put Paquette's head through the boards

Not sure I like that. Pringles wasn't particularly strong in round 1. But ok, Cassidy has earned the benefit of the doubt from me.

Last time we played them in a game 3, we won 2-0 and went up 2-1 in the series. Please do that again, just with moar goals for us.

So Cassidy confirmed that the whole thing with Bergeron getting thrown out of every face off started with Toronto complaining to the league.

Wasn't it Schaller who drew the Hedman penalty and then flew into the boards and banged his forearm? I know someone did it but couldn't remember Schaller or Kuraly.

Moran on BSJ opined that’s it’s on Pasta and Marsh:
“Is Bergeron getting tossed from so many draws because his linemates are cheating? There were five times last night when Bergeron got tossed and his stick wasn’t even down, with one being in the neutral zone. Marchand and Pastrnak have to be moving early…. right??”

Wasn't that a big point of emphasis at the start of the season?

Seems like an easy thing to resolve, if true. "Hey bruins - this is why we toss your centerman". And then, you know, the team could stop doing it. But that seems to simple.

I would like to see a big game from Rick, Krejci, and/or Backes. But in addition to those usual suspects, I feel like Heinen may be due. I didn't get to watch as much regular season as I would've liked, but Heinen's numbers look good (5th on the team in points, although being 3rd in GP probably helps him). He's listed as C, but I can't always keep track of Schaller, Kuraly, Heinen, and Acciari. Anyone care to enlighten me on his game and whether it's fair to have bigger expectations for him, or whether those hopes should pinned on Schaller, Kuraly, or Acciari.

“It’s a bit of a head scratcher to be honest with you,” said Bergeron. “I’ve been asking a lot of questions but I don’t seem to be getting any answers. It’s up to me to adjust and be better.”
It was funny that during one of the faceoffs, the Lightning player was the one that was moving. Enough that the ref didn't drop the puck, and the Bruin player made some comment to the linesman about gestured at the Lightning player and his movement. Linesman than promptly threw out the Bruin player even though they had been static and hadn't moved.

It's a real head scratcher as it makes no sense.

"It's up to me, to get better, look at the video, and see what's going on." That attitude is a lot of what goes into making him the best at what he does, but you know this has got to be infuriating to him and his line mates.

I thought Heinen was excellent last game.

He doesn’t always do the obvious stuff, but he generally doesn’t make mistakes, and often puts himself into good positions on the ice. He has good puck possession, wins a lot of 1 on 1 battles, and makes smart and safe plays.

As far as production- he’s skating with a dinged up Riley and David Backes, who has never been known as a creator, even in his earlier years. Next year, skating with 46 and 74, he’ll be right back up there in point production.

He had a couple of blips this year, but I think he’s been back on track since sitting v the Leafs.

Also... I have to probably miss at least the first period because of work meetings... so let's have a nice 4-5 goal lead by the time I can settle in and put it on. Keep it a real no doubter.

Yup, he’s a good second line wing. Young, on his elc and cost controlled for another four years with upside to go along with 20-25 goals and 30 assists next year. With Backes and Krejci, it’s lucky they have Bjork, Heinen and Donato helping out on the low end of the pay scale.
