PP definitely watched Hoosiers last night and then some Professor AND1 clips
Tha Professor has a robust YouTube channel. It's pretty funny watching a 30+ year old Professor clown on dudes at the park. His stamina might be sub-Embiid though.

Agreed. I wish he'd play a bit more, mostly when they are slacking. I get why he doesn't---he isn't as good as the guys ahead of him--but he has a certain kind of game and is a huge win for where he was picked.

Well, other than that Bane was there too....
One thing he does very well for his size is rebound.. feels like he could get in for a few minutes a game at least just to provide some spark. Celtics have a deep bench and it feels like they could play a little less traditional at times.. especially to run this Philly team for a full 48 minutes.

I really think the difference in Game 1 Harden and Game 2 Harden was the change in rest time, not the presence of Embiid.

(This is in response to Barkley saying that Harden has a mental block playing with Embiid and that’s why he sucked)

And the Celts D being intense, keeping scorers out of their comfort zone

Well, THAT was enjoyable. Every time I diverted my eyes for a few seconds I'd look up and there was an additional 2-3 point increase in the lead.
I got too much angst when the lead kept going from 12 to 6 a few times so I walked away for a while.. by the time I was back the lead was up to almost 30.. a really nice change after the past few weeks.

I will luxuriate in this thread momentarily, but wanted to duck in and note that Jaylen on Harden set the tone and was a key to this victory. And this is a great series for Grant. Huge sigh of relief.

I watched this game with a Philly friend of mine. The third, descending into the deep bench fourth, was pretty glorious.

Every defender who stepped up on Harden tonight did a phenomenal job of sticking on his shooting hand without fouling. He is historically good at drawing fouls in these situations so you have to pick your poison and if he goes off with hands in his face, so be it, but you can't give him 3 FTs a bunch of times a game so it's a balance.

And when he did penetrate, they kept him shooting contested fadeaways without way overhelping. He doesn't have the juice pr desire to get to the rim the way he used to so you don't need to overplay it. He pulled up a LOT tonight in situations where his younger self would get all the way to rim with ease and draw a foul because of his +++ change-of-speed ability.

Watching our 10th man Pritchard play like the 6th man Philly wishes they had must have been the cherry on the sundae.

He made a comment about how the Cs always seem to have one butt ugly white boy on the team...right as Pritch sank a 3. I just raised an eyebrow.

ONE?! We are the Billy Beane of recruiting dudes who you would not pick first for a game in Rucker Park. To be fair, the Cs are equal opportunity at buying low regardless of skin color: Brogdon and Horford's shots don't stand out as "sexy" if you were just at a random playground watching guys play.

Well, yes: I pointed out out when it turned into Pritch, Hauser, Kornet, Moose, and Champagne. Almost a full whiteout.

Not sure we can count on the 76ers bricking threes like this all night.
Narrator: It turns out, we could count on that.
The amount of times, that James Harden and Joel Embiid fall down, Philly should have a sponsorship deal With a medical alert company
The best of a good run of zingers about the flopping.
Such a miserable end to the half. Way to play, fellas. Great fuckin job.
The despair of the second quarter, where we had merely a 12-point lead and ended the half with an 8-point lead, really puts the whininess around here in sharp relief.

Just saw this clip. Loved it. Play angry, coach angry. I approve.

Statement game, blowout despite the best player with a subpar performance.
"Subpar" is putting it mildly. 1-7 FG, 0-3 from three, 2 turnovers, and yet in just 19 minutes he was +24 (biggest +/- on the team). That's crazy.

I'm not amazed that Embiid's return didn't work out for Philly. Their style with Embiid seems easier for the Cs to deal with AND Embiid is clearly not himself. The ball going through Harden less looks to be an advantage for the Cs.

I AM amazed that Tatum was as ineffective as he was in a performance that was so dominating for Boston. That's fine for a game. But they will need JT to do a lot more for them to win this series and in the next two (HOPEFULLY).
