I must have missed this, but is Bergeron playing hurt? After his goal, he basically hunched over grabbing his wrist/forearm. I'm sure others saw it - what did I miss? Was it a hack on the goal scrum, or is this existing that I didn't know about?

They are the only team penalized in scrums. Doesn’t matter if they take the first shot or are the ones retaliating. 3 times tonight scrums have ended with Hurricanes man advantages.

If I was Cassidy, I would tell Frederic he better take out Svechikov or he’s never playing in the NHL again.

I understand your thinking and you are likely to be right because the Bruins are going to have a hard time getting through the weekend, but none the less, I still stand by the basic idea that TV sometimes is deceptive with the impact of hits. And it goes both ways. More importantly, when players get really serious concussions that don't look like major blows on tape I think it is a disservice that we all often sort of 'whatevs' those hits.
For me, it wasn’t the hit, it was the fact that Lindholm didn’t have his legs five minutes later.

Oh fuck off fake staratore. Yeah let’s look at a careless high stick and not all the high hits by Carolina

I mean, that’s completely fucking embarrassing. Holy shit, your best and second best defensemen get fucked on at least questionable hits, and Jake DeBrusk is the one sticking his nose in there and doing something more than grabbing and face washing.
And they’re running his ass out of town because Cassidy doesn’t like him.

I’d be embarrassed if these were my teammates in an IM basketball game.

If someone doesn't run Svechnikov, I'm going to lose a ton of respect for this team and Cassidy.

This is the kind of game that absolutely calls for a line fight.

Marchand effect. For better or worse they will never get a call while he’s here

They’re gutless. Regular season game, Hall wipes out a Colorado player with a clean hit and they hunt him the rest of the game. This game is out of reach, two of your best D Men got borderline hits, one’s out for the rest of the season probably, you desperately need a spark, and they’re wasting penalties with high sticks and holds.

Didn’t they sign Foligno just for shit like this?

Between here and everywhere.
I would fire Cassidy and keep debrusk. His just smirk and shake his head bullshit doesn't work in this league
More importantly than that - this is now two playoff series in a row he's been outcoached and hasn't adjusted.

The Islanders pantsed him last year, and this series isn't looking so great yet, either.

Cooper's outcoached him a couple times before that. The Bruins came out strong in Game 1, then completely wilted against the Lightning twice.

Add the blues series imho

y’all don’t have to convince me, I’ve been on his smirk and shake the head thing for years and my DeBrusk/Cassidy thing is well documented at this point

Cassidy is a top 10 coach. I wish he would work the officials harder but I wouldn’t fire him. The replacement is likely to be worse.

I would just rather rebuild and go with a coach that was more of a player development guy.
