The Knicks keep trapping and rotating. I do not understand what would make them think there's a guy on the Celtics who won't hit the three, or won't pass to that guy.

Did anyone consider the possibility that they didn’t quite find their footing yet last season?

Knicks are running a defense that will work against, say, the Nuggets or the Sixers.

The Celtics have shown beyond any doubt that if you leave them open from three they will find the guy and he will hit. This scheme is a complete joke.

And yes, lots of us noted that Brunson/Towns cannot defend this Celtics roster. But it's still kind of shocking to watch it play out

This is absurd against a Thibs team too. Like this isn’t a low caliber, lazy opposition. Anything but.
Sort of. It's Thibs, but Towns and Brunson are awful matchups vs Cs, and they are getting picked on and the Knicks are trapping to respond. That is an awful scheme and Thibs should know better. you literally had to not watch the playoffs to think the Celtics won't rotate the ball to the open guy for a three, and yet that's what they Knicks defense is betting on time after time

The thing is....the Knicks are going to look good against normal teams this year!

But this is not a normal team. (And, tbf, this is an insane heater.)

Imagine what it's like for the rest of the NBA when they see this and think, "what the hell do we do with KP?"

That is 100% not a foul on White. You can debate if it's enough contact for a charge...but there's literally no basis for calling that on White. he is entitled to stand there!
