i've got to lead a meeting at 11:30 as well.

it's going to be quick. I don't have a TV in my office space at home but I'll at least have my iPad on in the background. After that I'm open until 3 so I can take the laptop into the living room and watch the rest.

I have a deposition at 1pm. I can’t fake an illness (unethical). We’ve already rescheduled it like 3 times, and mediation is in 3 weeks, so i am stuck. So I am debating how unprofessional it would be if I streamed the game from my phone (I am using my iPad for the Zoom deposition). I am defending (I just say “objection” a few times so people know I am conscious), so that would be fine, right?

RIGHT?!1??
"Objection to form. The left wing was offs . . . ."

I have an actual conference call now with corporate, and then at 11AM I have another "conference call" which will consist of my iPad streaming NBCSports and hopefully minimal cursing coming from my office.

You are the kind of lawyer I want on my side:
TR: OBJECTION, FACTS NOT IN EVIDENCE
Others: Counselor TheRealness, you realize that this is a deposition, right?
TR: SUS....SAAAAVED! Erm, SUSTAINED.
This is outstanding and would make for a great ad series. People in everyday jobs using hockey parlance out of context.

Fortunately my "home office" is in my living room, and my giant tv is right next to my desk. I'll be able to watch with no sound while I go through an endless checklist and ask "are you sure Blue Cross is discontinuing the use of the level of service code?"

Sadly, I need to run a meeting during the game. Project managing some huge physician billing change project. It’s about me least favorite project I’ve ever run.
I'm currently in my least favorite part of the software development cycle: waiting for important people to decide what they want. At least its easy to keep this on in the background when I'm doing Proof-of-Concept cloud projects.

That's the worst. I work in Healthcare IT, so we also get the pleasure of dragging clinical staff into this century (many of whom still don't understand why we can't just use paper charts anymore).

To be fair, most EMRs are billing systems that masquerade as medical records and only reduce physician efficiency (and I'm 37 so spent most of my life on EMRs).

Now to focus - lets see this PP get something going

They are, and unfortunately that's not going to change any time in the near future, as CMS and private payors see all that can be done with them and make more and more and more demands before they make payments. "Oh, you can integrate clinical decision making tools? Now that's required for MRIs! You can also do them for basic lab tests? Required!"

Would've liked a better PP but a good start at 5x5. Need to get a goal and a lead, haven't had one yet in Toronto.
