Okay the referees have already classified themselves as assholes. First Krug could have been seriously hurt and they missed the obvious slash.
Why did the refs even blow the whistle at center ice prior to the scrum that Kuraly got shouldered during?
I mean if they hadnt blow the whistle for ?reasons then non of the other shit even happens.

I’m pretty sure the penalty on Kuraly was for his hit in the corner prior to the zone clear and the scrum, not for the scrum itself
These guys might spend the whole series eating Chara's lunch... man are they fast. Every defensive breakdown is terrifying in a hurry.
You guys that know more about hockey than I do....what exactly did Kuraly do wrong that deserved a penalty, especially after the Carolina guy drove his shoulder right into Kuraly's face?
A fact that is true is that no opposing center has ever been booted from the dot against the Bruins.

It's a universal truth in hockey, refs never see the first infraction. They always see the retaliation.
Because the ref's weren't looking when the Caronlina guy put his shoulder into Kuraly's face and they were when he retaliated.
Punched the guy in the face. Refs often miss the cheap shot but see — and call — the retaliation.
The lesson here: Retaliate first.
Guys punch each other all the time in a scrum without penalty, even when the refs are right there watching and trying to break it up. So I guess I don't get it. But that's ok...I don't need to.
The penalty didn't happen in the scrum. The whistle blew 2 seconds before. The scrum took place after the play was over. A bruin touched the puck at center ice and the whistle blew.
Now that is a fucked up call.
