Gaelic Football (I need to pick a club to root for)

After recently reading an article that cited Gaelic Football as closely resembling what Association Football would have looked like had more of the Rugby Rules team managers attended the final association meeting in 1863 (apparently the London clubs, which played by the Cambridge rules, were a bare majority and they excised the Rugby rules from the FA draft code). So I started watching some Gaelic Football matches on YouTube. If FIFA football looked like this, I’d watch it. As it is I need a team to root for. Anyone here watch GAA Football with a team suggestion for me?

I watch occasionally. I root for Kerry. They are typically very competitive. My four grandparents off the boat, 3 of the four Kerry.

I barely know the rules and have only seen the 5 games that we gambled on while in Ireland a few years ago, but it was so much fun being in an Irish Pub, drinking fresh Guinness, and screaming and yelling at the TV when we barely knew what was going on.

Important threshold question: are we actually talking clubs? Or are we talking County teams (like the above-mentioned Kerry, or, if you are a good and correct person, Cork) feeding into the All-Ireland final?

I’m still trying to decide if watching GAA Football is worth $140/year. The matches I’ve watched so far are county teams. But, I’m open to any and all suggestions because the more GAA Football I watch the more I hope Ebenezer Morley is rotting in hell for preventing this brand of football from being the standard.

What about Hurling? It's pretty much the same sport but they give everyone a club.
