Montgomery passes on saying anything or showing any real frustration/anger.

I don’t get it

Tell me what team in the NHL would beat Florida with the PP advantage they were given and letting them knockout your captain unpunished? You guys are way to hard on a team with the talent they have.
Absolutely. This was a team that was built to find their way into the playoffs. If they got the goaltending and defense they expected and a lot of other things went right maybe they could go on a run. They haven’t gotten the level of play from their D and nothing else has gone their way.

Go look at other goalie interfernce goals called off this postseason and this was more interference than ones that were called back

Monty not calling out the officiating on the 2nd goal on his presser is as disappointing as the G being allowed. Didn't even bring up the cross check, WTF.

Who would be better coaching a team that has to deploy Justin Brazeau on PP2 and as a 6 on 5 guy? This team is mediocre. It’s fine when it’s a one game in the regular season. Only so much you can do when teams can actually gameplan.
You’re doing this wrong. It’s time to thrash about impotently and call for a sacrifice

that said, the officiating was not why they lost but that was extremely frustrating, especially coming off Bennett getting away with punching Marshy

Florida is going to get called for everything when they play the Rangers. Just watch.
Yup, the whiplash is going to be hilarious.

Again, the Panthers were the most penalized team during the regular season. The fix couldn't be anymore obvious.

The players could be doing better. But constantly eating shit sandwich after shit sandwich from the league while your coach and front office do absolutely nothing for you has got to be draining.

Funny, Biz was asking about getting away with one on the goal and Bennet responding about Marchand.

Actually the officiating is exactly why they lost this game. Lindholm interference call was a joke, didn't call blatant cross check by Bennet, let goal stand and that resulted in another FL PP. FL got 2 PPs out of that sequence when it should have been 1 B's PP.

They have 10 of 12 periods with single digit shots. “Could be doing better” is an understatement.

Officiating was the difference in this game. Agreed.

Right. The Bruins were never going very far. I get it. But a rigged NHL is just something I’m not going to watch. I’m out.

If McAvoy isn't playing through a serious injury then the only conclusion I can draw is that he just can't handle the pressure of the playoffs as the 1A defenseman.

Chuck played fine. Dude is tired. Hard to fault him that much when it's the officials and offense that played a far more central role in this series.

Second season in a row they don’t show up against Florida. Inexplicable personnel decisions, including playing an obviously injured goalie in the playoffs last year. His system has his less skilled team playing for the perfect shot, he didn’t say shit about his best player getting his ass kicked, watched his captain get sucker punched and concussed with no response that game or this next one, despite all their big words.

I dunno, fellas. He’s got a lovely dome. Is that it?

A new coach may not do much better without a change in the talent level of the roster but that doesn’t mean this guy still deserves to be the coach.

Those two things can coexist

2nd hot take: It’s not Monty, it’s Neely, Sweeney and “Bruins Culture”. They have instilled a no excuse mentality and “win the right” way that they won’t tolerate blaming refs or the league. The problem is that mentality Is getting in the way of actually winning. It was the same with Cassidy. This is an organizational issue and they need to wake up to the fact they are actively hurting the team.

They made it to game 7 last year and have deserved better this year despite Florida having more talent. How is that not "showing up"?

The choker talk is dumb but he’s been handling the puck like a grenade all series.
It’s been the last 3 playoffs with him, as I recall. He might have been hurt 2021, though. I think one year he was battling injury. He was brutal against Toronto in Round 1, too.

They definitely switched from a quantity of shots to quality of shots this strategy this year. It has worked for them in my opinion. They get a good amount of high quality chances despite their low shot totals.
