Team showed absolutely no resilience after getting screwed on that second goal, and they continue to have all kinds of "out of sorts" moments.
Maybe that's the personnel but Monty doesn't seem to have what it takes to get this group to play their best in the playoffs.
They had to bury some of their better chances earlier and then the Bennett goal doesn’t matter. It’s still bullshit, but they had chances to be up 3-4 goals and they couldn’t finish them.
Tried that, blew it then too. (You are right, of course, just a bitter pill right now)
Fuck everything. I’m tired of the bullshit refereeing I’m frustrated by the bruins play and I just want some therapeutic retribution on the shit the bruins can’t control.
Thats how this team has played all year. They go for quality shots instead of quantity and rely on goaltending and team D. They deserved to win this one.
They don’t generate enough offense to win a second round playoff series, I get that. But to get fucked over like that every year is ridiculous.
I don’t even understand what the league is trying to say. Like even if you were inclined to believe they tried to get the call right and are skeptical of bias, what is the call there? Sway lost the ability to try to make a save. What do they think they are seeing?
Hot take: Z was so “play the game the right way“ that he did not tolerate any penalty embellishment. Part of the Bruins culture is they don’t do the shit that teams like Florida do and embellish everything. Result is they get the short end of the stick with penalties. I don’t think he would handle the refs any different than Monty.
I think Monty is way better than sweeney and cam (what does he do? Anything?)

I don't think this is a great B's team, and they didn't play particularly well tonight (outside of Sway), BUT they got JOBBED HARD by the refs and league here. And that sucks.
Tell me what team in the NHL would beat Florida with the PP advantage they were given and letting them knockout your captain unpunished? You guys are way to hard on a team with the talent they have.
Bridge year. Had a good run. But, not enough elite level players & not enough grit/meanness. I will forever dislike the system Monty employs when you don’t have the elite talent to execute it.
Didn’t expect much from this series but it’s too much to have calls like that happen on top of a talent differential.

Yeah - Bruins were going to have a hard time winning if the game was called fair. When the stripes are in the bag it becomes impossible.
Who would be better coaching a team that has to deploy Justin Brazeau on PP2 and as a 6 on 5 guy? This team is mediocre. It’s fine when it’s a one game in the regular season. Only so much you can do when teams can actually gameplan.

I’m personally pissed that all of Florida’s good players are still healthy.
I'm fine getting beat by a better team. I don't like it, but I can deal with it cos that's life.
This is just getting jerked around by one of two things. 1) Pure incompetency on the part of the league officials. 2) Something worse.
