He won a college championship and started on a Super Bowl Championship team a year later. He's only 26.

Seems pretty fortunate to me.

Played out the rest of 2015 after a concussion that was clearly worse than reported at the time. Couldn't play all of 2016, likely as a result. Frankly, he's one of the lucky ones. Although he was released, are all rookie contracts guaranteed for injury? All I can find is that first rounders' deals are fully guaranteed and their 5th-year options are guaranteed for injury.

Article 7 of the CBA discusses rookie contract terms:

Basically, the team has the option of guaranteeing rookie salaries, but it is not required. From Miguel's entry on Stork's contract (http://www.patscap.com/stork.html#stork), it appears that outside of the signing bonus of $477K there was no guarantee.

Supposedly one of the most ornery players that ever played for the Pats. The reporters loved his BB-like interviews at first. They quickly soured on them later on.

I'll always remember his hearty, happy laugh at the end of the 2014 win when Brady calls Butler over (around the 14:40 mark):

Stork's emergence in 2014 helped stabilize what was looking like a pretty awful o-line early in the season after the Miami and especially the KC losses. Sucks that he had the concussion issues, here's hoping he got out early enough.

I always thought his days were numbered after the Titans game in 2015-when he showed up at the stadium and then was declared inactive and went home, after being listed as probable on the injury list (I know that there was a reported death in the family, but the BB "coach's decision" response when asked why Stork was out just added to the weirdness). the head bobbing in Denver probably sealed the deal, but it seemed like things were never right after that Titans game (plus that shoe incident in the prior game).

After that loss I would have had far choicer words to say. Might have been wisdom on his part.
If the smartest, wisest person you know who's been in this same situation as you gives you a road map / master key of how to get out of a very specific situation... take it?

It's the same script they follow with BB too - they ask a stupid question, he makes it clear the question is stupid and he's not going to answer it, and then they keep rephrasing it over and over again like the problem is that he didn't understand the question.

There are all sorts of interesting questions you could ask - "How do you feel about losing today" isn't one of them.
