Regarding JBJ: Just a little anecdote, but my Brewers fan buddy who watches almost every game said, "Yeah he can't hit, but I don't care. He's the best center fielder that I've ever seen, and that's part of the reason that this is the best Brewers team of my lifetime." (Paraphrasing, but that's essentially what he said)

Mookie 1 RBI, 0 R, and 0 XBH in 4 playoff games. Man if the Sox only could have had this kind of production in the OF, they'd probably have made the ALCS.

Not all as former players, but half of the managers in the playoffs were in the Red Sox organization.

Great interview, especially getting the backstory on when they taped him to the post in the dugout.
The rapid-fire questions at the end are good too, including "dirtiest opponent". You'll want to watch to see his answer.
But the "A-Rod or Al Horford" one was a total softball.

The Dodgers declined their $12 million team option on Joe Kelly and are exercising a $4 million buyout instead. Word is his biceps injury is severe and may cause him to miss the start of the season. I don't know if he's a fit on a Red Sox team that already has a bunch of guys who don't throw strikes, but if his improvement this year in that area was real (down to 3.1 BB/9 versus over 4 with the Red Sox), he may be worth a look.

Yankees sign Jose Peraza to MiLB deal

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/12/yankees-sign-jose-peraza-to-minor-league-deal.html

The Yankees have let some of their depth infield options depart in recent weeks, sending Tyler Wade to the Angels and releasing Rougned Odor, who eventually landed with the Orioles. Peraza could be a candidate to fill a similar to role to those players, bouncing around to different positions, as needed. He’s gotten most of his major league playing time at second base and shortstop, but has also seen some limited action at third base and all three outfield positions.

His career average may have dipped below .300 this year but he’s still bowling 300s

@brwalkoff

Incredible.

@mookiebetts spent his Sunday bowling a perfect 300
