It would have been so nice if Bloom could have found $4 million in John Henry's couch to sign Travis Shaw.
Goodbye, Thornburg, if I never see you again, it will be too soon.

His pinch hit three run homerun in Game 1 might be one of the more underrated hits in Red Sox history. You drove me crazy, but thanks Eduardo!

Erasmo Ramirez joins Nunez, signing a minor league deal with the Mets
I think this would be an interesting trivia question: who is the only Red Sox player to appear in a game and not wear the number assigned to him?
Answer: Erasmo was assigned the number 38 by the Red Sox. However the one day he was up with the Sox last year happened to be Jackie Robinson Day. So like all the Sox he wore 42. He was sent down the next day and never appeared in a game for the Sox the rest of the year

As did Victorino in 2013.
Shut your filthy mouth about Victorino. He was awesome in 2013 but was a shell of himself by playoff time because of injuries. Also, I was at the Game 6 grand slam game with the Van Everywoman, @Section15Box113 and his wife. Watching Shane round the bases pounding his chest was probably the best (and at the time, most unlikely) in-game moment of my Red Sox watching career.

How could anyone say Victorino drove them crazy in 2013? He was really good pretty much all year. His postseason wasn't very good (.647 OPS) but he did have 12 RBI in 14 games.

Former Red Sox reliever Daniel Bard attempting MLB comeback

Daniel Bard hasn't pitched in the MLB since 2013.

But that isn't going to stop the former Boston Red Sox reliever from attempting an MLB comeback in 2020.

According to Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe, the 34-year-old Bard will try to return to the MLB in the near future. He last pitched in the minors during the 2017 season.

Mauricio Dubon picks up where he left off last September, homering in a 2-2 2020 Spring Training debut.

I thought it was staged at first but why would
he break a window in his own house - especially when that requires a repairman to come
I don’t know. Maybe to stay relevant? I mean we are talking about it and it made the front page on ESPN. Also I think he can afford to get it fixed. Plus he lives in SoCal so it’s not like they have to worry about cold weather, rain, or bugs.

edit. It seems like a warm up toss that he aimed at the window or just airmailed. I doubt that was much over 70 mph. Isn’t Kelly’s change like low 90’s?

I really never got a vibe from Joe Kelly that he does stupid shit to have people talk about him. You're moving into conspiracy territory with that comment, but I'll agree with edit, that he just airmailed it a bit. I doubt he was throwing max effort in his backyard if he's working on grip or feel
