I just got Aaron Ramsey out of a pack. I'm planning to add him to my BPL team, but haven't figured out where to put him. I have a 4-1-2-1-2 for this squad. Ramsey is a CM of course, and I'm thinking that he'd be best to move to CDM since I want to keep this formation. Thoughts?

I have a pretty good squad here - I'd use Ramsey to take the place of Sandro at CDM or Tadic at CAM, who are currently on my bench. I suppose I can use a chemistry card to help wherever I put him, and then he may start ahead of Matic or Barkley. Any advice?

Here's my current lineup (if it makes a difference):

Courtois
Baines - Kompany - Vertonghen - Debuchy
Matic
Schurrle - Willian
Barkley
Remy - Sturridge

Bench:  Vorm, Walcott, Coleman, Mangala, Sandro, Cisse (IF)

I'm so sick of facing this team

To be honest I suck at this game post-patch, they nerfed one touch passing and I can't skill dribble to save my life.

Those FUTmas packs they released were good to me.

Got Sturridge, Balotelli, Coutinho and Chicharito/Hernandez/whatever his name is to completely remake my attack.

Weird shit about to happen on the market, I'm guessing a huge spike in prices with the influx of Christmas noobs followed by a huge crash when TOTY comes out in packs, though it's been well proven that I can't be trusted to predict this stuff

Also why on ps4 did they disable the feature that lets you see the guy you just played in the friends list? I have thoughtful and constructive messages to send.

I noticed the spike the other night.  I bought and sold an IF Pogba for 200k, then the other night had to get him for 400k.  Though I may sell him and get that IF Vidal.

GUYS GUYS GUYS

So I opened my free mega packs, expecting disappointment no matter what since I don't play on this account at school so even if I get Messi it'd be a complete waste, and inside the first pack was a separate gold pack, and inside that pack was Yaya Fucking Toure, and I winced hard until I realized that for some reason it's a trade-able card

God is real and Christmas miracles happen

What's a good way to make coins that doesn't involve spending money? I feel like whatever coins I have only get spent investing back into the team for contracts or fitness cards.

In form trading is popular since they're pretty consistent, you buy on Monday after they come out and they'll steadily increase. You get screwed if he gets a second in form, though. I've also never actually like, done this. But check out futbin for price data before you do anything, it's helpful for studying trends.

Also, prices are supposed to crash hard when TOTY comes to packs in January, so save coins until then if you can

Ea servers seem to be down without them saying anything. All of Europe has had no fifa access all day and unhappy about it. People only noticed Madden when the us got in.

This is when playing Career Mode pays off. Have been playing nothing but FIFA the last few days. I found a 16 year old who's already a 75.

I know, I had the same thought when I wrote that sentence. I'll admit it - I have a thing for Josh Colclough (he's an English lad). I also have a promising 16 year old German keeper who's already 6'4".

Pulled Sanchez from a pack last night. Not sure if I should hold onto him or sell. Obviously, this is best card I've pulled from a pack.
Sell, all prices are going to fall hard in a few weeks for TOTY. It's actually a good idea to sell all expensive players because you should be able to rebuy them for cheap.

Bots/coin traders mean inflation is basically the norm now. On the bright side the exchange rate is now like 100k/$1 (another reason to never ever buy packs).

The IF market is even more fucked, everyone is rushing to buy up in-forms that are due for upgrades. I bought SIF Lacazette for 250k, sold at 650k thinking I was a genius, and he's already up to 950k.

http://www.seagm.com/fifa-15-coins/fifa-coins-fifa-15 has them at $.67/100k. I've heard from a few people that they're legit though I haven't used them. Over on ufifa it's like $1/100k, though I can vouch for them because I used it last year for MLS TOTS.

Don't know if I'll actually pull the trigger though, I hate sinking money into this mode, especially when there's nothing special I really want.

In simple, offline career mode, how does one develop young players? Only by playing in the first team?
Loaning them doesn't have the same effect as it should really. Playing well in the first team is the best way to do it.

I've noticed this more and more lately...but does everyone on this game just buy coins? I mean, I spent like $150 on packs (hey, I'm not relying on my allowance) and I'd say 75% of teams I play have better talent than I do.

Last night was kind of the completely obvious moment for me. I was taunting the guy, whose team was established in February 2015, asking why he didn't have Ronaldo. I mean, that was pretty much all he was missing:  he started Messi, Suarez, Bale, Neymar, Neuer, DiMaria, Toure, Lahm, Ramos, Baines and I can't remember who else.

I've assumed so. I'm strange because I like seeing what kind of team I can build for free.

I would prefer to do that myself, but I was getting frustrated getting my ass kicked constantly.

It's funny now, I'm more worried when I face a team of mismatched players than a team of stars now, because I figure I'm playing against someone who knows how to play.

You can get a million coins for like ten bucks. To put it another way, for the price of like five packs through EA, you can buy at least fifty by opening them with purchased coins. It's wrecked the market, but if you're going to pay to win you might as well get your money's worth.

Also it should be noted that this game handicaps like crazy and the 85-86 rated squads often play like shit. The best squads in the game are always the most boring, OP premier league squads with Costa/Sturridge etc.

But isn't EA supposed to be banning people for doing that? It's got to be pretty obvious when a guy has a team less than one month old like that. Or is that pretty much an empty threat from EA?

Where do all the extra coins even come from? It takes a while to pull together a million coins (legitimately) without paying through the nose for them. How does someone gather a million to sell for $6? Is it all hacking and phishing? Even then, it seems like those talents would be put to better use elsewhere.

I don't understand these kids today.....(as one incredulous pre-pubescent kid I was trash talking with asked me, "you have a wife? and you play FIFA?)

I think this is what it ultimately comes down to. If you like the idea of opening the packs, rolling the dice, and building a squad through buying and selling cards like stocks, then that's the route to go. If you just want to build a dominant team and don't care about the other stuff, coin buying is for you, and will cost you a lot less than trying to build that team the "legit" way.

I've moved away from FUT and been playing more online seasons and playing the be a pro mode, or whatever it's called.

The whole thing about EA banning people has become a huge joke. A few people get banned every now and then but for the most part it's a completely empty threat, and if you know how to buy coins properly you won't get caught. I think they just wanted a scapegoat for all their server connectivity issues.

The extra coins come from bots and autobuyers. Basically they can set a bot to buy, say, every card of player x y and z that falls below a certain price and sell it for profit. There are tons of techniques for coin-farming that I don't fully understand, but you can see it in action by listing a player below on the market below quicksell value; he'll get sold literally the second you click confirm.

The thing is though, even if you like rolling the dice, you should still buy coins (as opposed to buying packs. Playing straight up is still the best way to go). You can open waaaaaaay more packs that way. The fact is that nobody here is innocent; EA introduced pay to win at a laughably high price, so it's somewhat harmless to the card market since packs are a horrible value for the money. That doesn't change the fact that it's pay to win. So everyone getting angry that coinsellers bypassed the system and let the free market decide the price of wins is letting EA slide, since they're the ones who introduced the concept with the hope of monopolizing all the profit. It would be different if this was a micro-transaction-free game mode being gamed by the black market, but it's really just a freemium game that, you know, still costs 60 bucks.

I should note that I haven't bought coins this year and don't plan to. I actually haven't played in weeks and I don't miss it at all. FUT is a sad, soulless grind.

I coin farmed a few years ago, mainly just to see how easy it was. All I did was buy rare gold contracts for 250 BIN and resell for between 350-450; was making over 100k in coins a day. Ridiculous how simple it was, if I'd put in any sort of effort to actually learn the market I could have made a good bit more.

What I found fascinating was other coin farmers were building these teams that were worth thousands of real life dollars. In FIFA 13, a million coins were selling for between $50 and $100, and people were rolling out these teams that were all TOTY players (worth over $40m coins). Seemed insane to me.

According to Futhead, coin selling has stopped for now because EA are working on servers?

Also does anyone think the divisions have gotten easier?  I've been ping ponging between division 2 and 3 over the past few months.  Never held on to division two, never stayed in division 3.  After 2 weeks of not playing I am back into it and have one my first 4 games in division 2 with relative ease.

Agreed. It's tiring playing the way everyone set their teams up now. Seems like every team is rated 85 and higher.
