Not like it will really level the playing field all that much, coinbuying will still exist. Looks like it's mainly to counteract the crazy shit that was happening with so many cards at the 15 mil ceiling, but this isn't a return to FIFA 11 times. In-form trading is probably killed, which sucks. Also prevents people from getting rich off of players who die in real life, which was definitely a bad look.

For those of you who are playing a lot, something super rare just happened to me with these free packs they're giving away this week, I got an IF Pique.  What am I supposed to do with this card? Sell it? With the price bands, is it likely to be worth more immediately or later?

edit: Nevermind, the cards in these free packs are untradeable.  So I know what I do with this card, I build a BBVA squad around Pique.

I need some advice. I've found my Achilles heel, and its a 5-man back line. I just can't seem to break through that wall of defenders. Luckily, I see it only maybe 5% of games. But that doesn't give me much opportunity to figure out a strategy either. Any help?

Patience and possession. People that use a 5 man back are more than likely bad at defending and just cram bodies into space. By holding the ball and circulating and being patient, they'll likely pull defenders out of position and create lanes for thru passes or dribbling.

Same applies for people that use high pressure defending. They're just looking to create turnovers and get fast breaks. By passing the ball around and finding the open man, you might not get fast or easy goals, but you can beat people consistently.

Thanks, I'll give that a try!

I'm getting so much better (very proud of myself for making Division 5 last night :) ), but that nearly prevented me from advancing.

I would say this year has probably been the biggest jump in my game. Currently sitting in Division 3. I've worked a lot on possesion and passing the ball instead of just trying to shoot rainbows over the top of the defense and out run people. I've incorperated some basic skill moves into my game that I never really used before, and have used the L2 dribbling in tight spaces very effectively. One thing that is really helpful is holding L2 while receving a ball to shield against a defender or holding L2, and then performing a scoop dribble when receiving (square followed by x, like a fake pass). When people are pressing, that little scoop animation gives you a half second quicker response and sharper change of direction that can really help out. Also, sprinting is not always your friend, especially in and around the box area. Learning R2 discipline will help.

There's lots of good tutorials on youtube on basic skill moves and things of that nature. The simple ones are often the most effective. So many people will run straight at you and try and slide tackle. A flick of the right stick to the left or right, and you're by them and continuing your run. I'd say if you want to take your game to that next level, you have to invest some time in adding a few wrinkles to your game other than running and passing.

They're finally adding 12 women's international teams to the game.

I wonder where bidding begins for the Alex Morgan FUT card?

"Gamers can use them in Kick Off, Offline Tournament and online Friendly matches." So this seems like a pretty empty gesture. I guess they didn't want to get into the whole ordeal of ranking female players, since they would inevitably have to put them higher than a fair amount of men in order to make it a worthwhile add-on. Personally I wouldn't have a problem throwing them into the FUT universe with competitive ratings; it's not like FUT thrives on realism anyway when Daniel Sturridge is going up against his clone every other game. Also interesting that the defending world cup champion Japanese team isn't in there, presumably because Konami has anything to do with Japanese soccer locked down.

Hopefully this isn't the defining feature of 16. This game needs some serious tweaks.

Amen. This game has grown stale with me and the ongoing glaring issues made this thing unplayable and has been collecting dust since Christmas.
