So Chelsea is 9-0-0 at home this season with a 22-3 goal differential.

On the road, they're about to fall to 5-4-2 with (if the score holds) a 21-16 scoreboard difference (in their favor).

A Lost Time
Is it my impression or Tottenham fans were singing "when THE Spurs are marching in"? I thought there was no THE there.

There's no "The Hotspurs", but "the Spurs" is fine.

Why was Schürrle not picked for the 18-man-roster?
What´s wrong with the guy, he has 5 starts and 8 sub-ins this season. I know he is the perfect bench player (just what he is for Germany), but he isn´t even used as that for Chelsea, i don´t get it. He has so much speed, a great shot with right and left, can bring in great crosses, and brings it every time he comes in from the bench for Germany - so why not more often for Chelsea? I see that Drogba is more or less a bench option at this stage of his career, but that´s as a striker. Schürrle is a great creator from the wing with goal-scoring threat.

Is there any problem between Schürrle and Mourinho? Does he expect more of him? Is he the next German (Poldi, Özil) that doesn´t make it in the Premier League or is it just tiredness after the short WC break?

I can't even talk about Everton.

I love the breakaway channel. Can you imagine Fox Soccer doing that? I like the new graphics too but working in TV production has made me a snob about that stuff.

It was pretty nice… was it new?  It seemed like the host changed in the second half from saying 'here's a goal…' to 'this just happened…' It was a little weird though jumping around so much and did add a certain anxiety when I noticed that the game was the one I cared about.

Is Özil really considered a bust already in the EPL?  Seems to me that he's been either injured or played out of position for the majority of his time at Arsenal.

I would agree with you that he´s often either injured or played out of the middle by Arsene. But in now 18 months, he didn´t take over the team as much as he could have done.

Appreciate it...was sitting right next to LTF who didn't have the decency to hide his glee at my misery. Enjoyable game, bit of a pisser to lose like that when the replay seemed within grasp.

I haven't been able to see a good replay but I think there's a good chance Milner was technically offside on the goal.  Good on LTF though, your squad gave us a miserable and physical 90 minutes, celebrating was the right choice.

All joking aside, I told him that if he had not celebrated, I would have been insulted. It was nice to see it meant something.
