It's going to suck watching him dominate down the street from me.

Barring a return to form, you have nothing to worry about. Unless you live across the street from Wrigley in which case the barrage of balls every 5th day pelting your windows will, indeed, suck. We have a guy throwing junk, who turned into a FB pitcher, headed to a park that punishes his kind.

Doubront was one of the toughest Red Sox to cheer for in my lifetime.

Dice-K ... Doubront. Two guys whose personal opinions of themselves were not based in reality.

My guess is that Felix disappears quicker than Manny Delcarmen.

Haha. Somewhat hyperbolic. Jason Hammel was good for the Cubs this year and doesn't belong in the A's rotation, so I wonder what Doubront will do with the Cubs.

Theo has sold high to perfection, bought low to perfection and clearly sees value in AL starting pitchers getting a free out every time through the order.

I wouldn't at all be surprised to see this makeshift rotation of underperforming AL starters like Doubront, Straily, and Arrieta with Lester, Price, or Scherzer slotted in at the top, and Edwin Jackson who is a better player than he has shown in his Cubs career at the bottom, with budding, young, cheap offensive superstars peppered all across the diamond...

I expect this nights and weekend package to be pretty darn profitable in time.

Posters around here freak out at the thought of Jon Lester in pinstripes, but I personally think it's much more likely that he's a Cub than a Yankee when all of this ends.

Because "He sucks, he thinks he's better than he is, and he really needs to get his fucking head out of his ass and fix his shit" isn't a valid DL reason under the new CBA.

Hmm, Doubront might want to raise a stink over this. On the other hand, he can claim the calf strain was the cause of his abysmal final Fenway appearance.

The wrong side of the bridge....
Good defensive SS (though the scouting reports make him sound somewhat short of Marrero, let alone Iglesias) who hit rookie league pitchers well, but has struggled in full-season ball (.667 OPS with a >20% K rate in A+ at 21 last year). Good speed on the bases.

It looks like his ceiling is Pedro Ciriaco II. But it's nice to have a little more organizational depth at SS, especially if the Sox are mulling using Marrero as a trade chip.

Sounds similar to Raymel Flores the minor league SS the Sox included in the Wade Miley trade.
