For some reason I decided to listen to most of the first two hours. How does anyone listen to this and not hate their lives and Boston sports? I don't mind criticizing the teams and think the Pats and C's deserve it. This is just nonsense and drivel. Off to Netflix.

Today will be "Michel is so horrible in short yardage they've had to resort to using Develin, my God, that's pathetic, what a waste of a 1st round pick!"

Nice work. Pretty close to what Felger actually said when I tuned in around 5:30 for the drive home. It’s almost like the takes are predictable. o_O

By and large though, they were very positive about Sunday's Win and both Felger and Mazz are coming around on the team. Michel isn't great in short yardage situations yet and while Murray's "Gronk is Dead" bit was overplayed, it's largely accurate this season. Nothing against Gronk but his body seems to be wearing down and his overall production hasn't been the Gronk we're used to.

Listened to a few minutes yesterday. Tons of faux outrage at Brady's post-game comments (which were basically a parody of the Mazz hot take that the team sucks and will not win in the playoffs). They spent far more time on that aspect than anything else related to the game or the upcoming battle with the Chiefs.

They did the same yesterday. It was unlistenable. They played the full clip coming into the 3:00 hour, spent 10 minutes on it, then took a call from Carlton (Remember when Felger said...No celebrity callers?!??!??). The 10 question segment was next with Breer, which is usually OK. Come back from commercial, take a call from a woman who says, "I was thrilled with the game. I thought they were going to lose, but it was great! Lets talk about how well they played." And Felger went off on his UGHHHH WOOOOOOO BLEEEEEEHHHHHHHHH You can't talk about anything negative about the Patriots. Click.....a few minutes later......EVERYBODY Shut up...we can talk negative about the Patriots .....BLEEEHHHHHH UHHHHHH WAHHHHHHHH. Who is this "everybody"? They took 2 calls in an hour. Carlton and the lady.

I was going to change it, but I wanted to see how long he would do his fanboy outrage voice. 2 minutes and 38 seconds (Plus whatever he did after I clicked off). It wasn't even horrible radio. It was pathetic and sad. Yesterday was my breaking point. I will monitor this thread to see if there are any improvements, but I will not be listening again.

I have to be honest, I listened to their show a bit yesterday, and they played a hilarious clip of Zolak impersonating his prediction of Mazz’s reaction to the Pats’ win.

In the call with Carlton in Tampa (does this guy put his tin foil hat on before calling in?), Felger said the Pats haven't won on the road since they stopped taping opponents signals and deflating balls. I just don't know why anyone continues to listen to this guy. Even if he is saying things to get the fans to call in, he is such an a-hole to them that there isn't much of a point. He is the exact opposite of the way local sports radio works in LA where all they seem to do is kiss up to everyone.

They definitely didn't go 15-1 on the road the last two years

Felger lost his mind on the roughing the passer call in the 4th Quarter when it was 21 to 17. Did not realize there's an app where Felger and Wiggy react to the game real time in the 4th Quarter. Hearing Felger drop a string of F-Bombs is like listening to your school teacher flip out and start swearing.

I'm guessing he said nothing about a few questionable pass interference calls, or the missed OPI late in the 4th quarter.

Why did I think listening to this would be a good idea? Just awful radio. Felger is pretty salty that the pats got the benefits of all the calls yet again. This is what i want from my local sports radio. Openly rooting against the hometown team and being pissed off when they win a epic game.

Should have never gave them a chance. Onto some podcasts.

Caught five minutes in the car, why would anyone torture themselves listetning to this show? Today is a great day to be a Patriots fan and Felger is salty and miserable and only wants to talk about all of the calls that went their way. What an asshole.

One of the benefits of not going to an office any more is rarely being in a car or near a radio the hours they are on. Makes ignoring them a lot easier.

No. Felger and Tim McKone. Back before the season started, Felger told McKone that he could ball-gag him if the Pats made the Super Bowl, citing Brady skipping out on OTAs and Belichick seemingly going easy on contact/competition during the pre-season.

Today was the payoff. Filmed prior to todays’s show.

Haven't listened to this show since the day after the Red Sox won the WS, tuned in for Mondays' opening, it wasn't too bad, also listened yesterday when Paul was on.

Had the pleasure both days of listening to Carlton from Norwell's rants, the same rant both days "IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT OFFSIDES PENALTY, BRADY FINISHES WITH 3 INT'S AND A PASSER RATING OF 63.8!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Well it was a penalty, he did not finish with 3 INT's and his passer rating was not 63.8 you fucking windbag.

What a turd, the fact that the success the Patriots have had the past 18 years has shaved 10 years off of his life in the icing on the cake for me, him and all the other haters. The more pissed off they get, the happier I am...……………...

Exactly. I haven't listened to them in forever and I am better for it. I do love coming to this thread to reaffirm my decision though.

I was flipping through the channels on Monday (I'm never home on a weekday, it was odd) and stopped on the show for a couple minutes. Look, I get small sample sizes and everything, but the 2 minutes I had it on contained Felger (who was remote?) angrily declaring that Tom Brady was stupid for ever showing up to an OTA, since he'd been told by us fans that it didn't matter that he didn't this season and look how well they've done! Or, they're wrong and Brady is lazy for not showing up. It was a tortured false dilemma, and one that's.. odd to bring up the day after that incredible game.

I think even Murray seemed confused. How are their ratings? Still strong? I don't understand this type of radio at all I guess.

Seriously. If you're listening to this show thinking that these three guys will say something complimentary about the Patriots (or any Boston team), you're crazy. They have their algorithm and they aren't changing.
If a listener listens to a show like that to hear "complimentary" talk, then the fault is with the listener. As it is if the listener wants to hear "intelligent" talk, "enlightening" talk, "informative" talk or anything other than talk that could be heard at a bar near closing time.
Expecting radio talking heads to be anything other than stupid trolls is like expecting your 5-year old to crush the SAT and start at Harvard tomorrow.

Joe Dokes hit the nail on the head and I know I've asked this question before but I'll ask again...

We know what this show is by now, it's been 10 years and the only change has been Jim Murray and we know he sucks.

Felger basically admitted again last night around 5:30 that it's radio and they use various takes to get people to listen and get them riled up.

Why take the bait and listen? My trigger finger is extremely itchy and as soon as I start to get annoyed I switch to Spotify or a podcast.

True, and Gasper can dish it with them too on his weekly hour.
So, at best it's like Top 40 radio (or Classic Hits or pick your canned format). "listen for an hour (or a week) and you might hear 5 minutes (or an hour) of music (talk) you can stand."

If you know when the "good stuff" comes on, I get it, but other than that, I dont get the appeal.

LOL, the average Felger Hater listens for 2.5 Hours and goes to post on a message board about it.

Yes, if we never watch or listen, we won't have to complain. But I don't feel any shame to admit that, on occassion I check in with the Patriots flagship channel -- on its big weekday draw -- to see how they will manage to turn a trip to the Super Bowl into days of negative coverage. Why have a media board at all if we just agree never to watch or listen to Boston sports media bozos?

I do think complaints help explain why Michael Holley replaced Felger on Sunday Night Post game and pregame. That was no accident.

This probably is accurate. For my own reasons, I never listen and rarely post.

I am posting now because you can find “intelligent”, “enlightening” and “informative” in this format. Maybe not in Boston, but elsewhere, certainly.

Correlation. Causation.

He claimed he stopped Comcast due to the new contract he signed with Beasley last January. That sounds more plausible to me since Comcast was very happy to give him nonstop airtime for many years.
