Yes it is but it wasn't stated as such.rodderick said:
This is a joke, right?
No, Simms actually said that on air.rodderick said:This is a joke, right?
Yeah that was funny. Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown say hi. He also poo pooed Hines, even though hew as pretty good during Ben's first few years.Ralphwiggum said:Also Ben Roethlisberger has never had weapons, or a running game since Jerome Bettis retired.

Success is a relative value; one team's achievement is another team's failure.
No one is going to "kill" the Celtics if they win 42 games and a playoff round but get bounced by Cleveland. Why? Because they aren't supposed to be even close to that good.
Think about it for a few minutes and then explain why the Jets high-water mark of the past four decades is a bit different than the standards Patriot fans have for a successful season.
I agree with your overall point, but the emphasized seems like pretty blatant revisionist history. I guess you could say, maybe, that Brady was slightly less than his usual self in the Week 2 loss to the Jets, which ended up helping the Jets' playoff chances, but that's about it. It wasn't because Brady was still rusty that they got blown up by the Ravens in that playoff game.Quiddity said:
This isn't the New York market though, its Boston. I don't deny the right of Jets fans to have been extremely happy about when the team made it to the AFC Championship game 2 years in a row. I expect a member of the Boston sports media to take a more logical approach to it then Felger did. When that happened Felger constantly proclaimed that the Jets roster building philosophy was superior to that of the Patriots and that the Jets making it to those 2 AFC Championship games proved it. What Felger completely ignored (either due to his bias against the Patriots or purposely) was the exact circumstances of the Pats franchise at the time and the very fluky nature of how the Jets got in that position. One of those years was Brady coming back from losing an entire season to injury, which very clearly affected his performance, and the Pats also lost Wes Welker in the last game of the season, giving them only a week to prepare for a playoff game without him. One of those years (I'll be honest I can't remember which one it was), the only reason the Jets even got to the playoffs was because a 14-0 Colts team purposely took out all their good players and for all intents and purposes forfeited a game to the Jets. That was enough to boost the Jets' strength of schedule such that they won a tiebreaker and got into the playoffs. I won't deny that the Pats whiffed big time and deserved criticism when they blew that playoff game against the Jets in one of those years. At the same time, I think to take Felger's stance, which was that the Jets roster building philosophy was superior to that of the Pats was absurd. The next year the Pats made it to the Super Bowl and were within a Wes Welker dropped pass of winning it, while the Jets missed the playoffs.
As for the Broncos, if the Pats having a great regular season and getting far in the playoffs but failing to win the Super Bowl is a failure, then it has to be for the Broncos as well, because they haven't won a Super Bowl in the Manning era either.

Hanley and Panda are redundant.
They overreact to whatever happens the previous year

You're a really weird dude and kind of terrible, but I can't even begin to fathom how you became a Felger stan.HomeBrew1901 said:Will you stop trying to make sense BH, they're rolling, so much so that they are tweeting mad and contacting other members of the media.
This is more fun than the show itself.

Outside of the fielding, on-base percentage, and hitting for average Cespedes is fine.
