So, what's the opening going to be today?  I think Felger is going to say it doesn't matter what BB said today he knew about it and was lying on the podium.  Mazz is going to agree with him and also say that the league will eventually go soft on the Patriots because Kraft and Goodell are close.

Agree and Beetle will be the voice of reason.

I'll also go with "With the construct restructuring and the way Belichick threw him under the bus, its clear Brady is gone this offseason"

Felger and Mazz believe nothing BB says, "why wasn't he concerned they confiscated the balls at halftime?" He didn't know maybe? He's got more important things at halftime to worry about then where his flippin' balls are!

Look, here is the ground they have staked out on this thing:  the Patriots deflated the footballs, there is no other logical explanation for why they were found to be deflated.  It isn't a big deal that they were deflated, but they were deflated and anyone who cannot admit this is a honk.  And BB is the ultimate details guy (Mike, "You can't take a CRAP there without his permission") so he must have known.

Ergo, anyone who believes what BB said today is a honk.  Being a honk is the thing that Felger hates the most, and he'll stake out completely ridiculous positions trying to ensure that he's not being a honk.  Short of a video tape showing the Colts ball boy sabotaging the Patriots footballs, this is the way it went down in the gospel according to Felger, and anyone who believes anything to the contrary is a honk.

I can't listen, I've already tweeted like 20 times to that stupid show how narrowly they are looking at things and realized I'm giving them exactly what they want.  I'm done having my blood pressure raised by these two nincompoops.

This is just something I don't get... Why do people let this shit bug them?  Why tweet 20 times or even once?  Just turn the show off if it's raising your blood pressure.

I hate that Mazz won't challenge Felger!! He said a few things that I thought for sure someone there would challenge him on and no one would, there was another way of looking at something he said but no one pointed it out to him, I was going to bust if I didn't let him know that!! But yea I realized it was useless pretty quickly and have been blissfully listening to music ever since.

Your mistake is tweeting even once at them. They live for any attention..good or bad. The only thing they give a shit about is people tuning into their program. The best way to counter trolls like that is completely freezing them out, cold turkey.

We're all really passionate about the Pats, so they are probably laughing at how easy it is to draw ratings this week. Don't fall into their trap.

I'm tuned in on television just waiting to hear Brady.

How people can listen to this shit day after day is beyond me. What a terrible program.

EDIT: Just found out Brady will speak around 4:15 so I've switched to the Bruins replay. Even a Bruins' loss is better than this shit.

Homeless Felger trolling today. Hate it all you want, this is a master class in how to run the sports radio playbook. It's a Brady-against-Jacksonville-in-the-playoffs performance.

They'd explode if Brady came out and said, "Yeah, I took some air out of the balls before the game. No one else knew about it.  Didn't mean to take so much though.  Guess it's not the first time I didn't pull out in time."

Mazz essentially just said that it doesn't matter if the Patriots are proven guilty or not, that the court of public opinion has already convicted the Patriots so Kraft should fire Belichick.

Holy shit.

It's going to be very difficult to continue listening to this show when Beetle leaves.

I actually like Felger a lot. I don't always agree with him, and I know he trolls a lot, but most of his act strikes me as genuine. Call me an idiot, question my sanity, I buy what he is selling and enjoy his take more often than not.

But Mazz, holy crap. Hearing him shit all over everyone all the time in his terrible voice, and being acquiescent to Felger 90% of the time, it's getting unbearable. Ultimately, the undoing of this show (for me) may be the same as the undoing of D&C (for me): it is boring as shit to listen to two people sit around and agree for an hour.

Could not agree more with every line of this.

Attempted to listen after Brady's Press Conference and couldn't for this reason. I can handle "I think they cheated and if caught deserve to be punished." For some reason I can buy Felger not believing BB and Brady but not Mazz' incessant whining that they don't deserve the benefit of the doubt.

I was done after the Pedro slander a couple weeks ago.

Give it a few years. I am confident that this show will meet the same fate as Ordway and "The Big Show". You cannot survive long-term in Boston by trying to convince fans to turn on their own teams.

The problem i'm starting to have with them is that they're starting to only take callers who agree with them. It would be much more tolerable if they let some of the people (who have got to be on the line) that disagree with them on the air.

Or you have it backwards...only people that agree with them call. To use an extreme example, how many liberals call into Rush Limbaugh.

Entirely possible. I guess i give New England fans too much credit that they're not all this dumb

Never forget....there really aren't a lot of total callers to begin with; and they are part of an indisputably non-representative sample size of "New England fans."  I haven't done (and am probably not capable of doing) the math, but even if every single caller to their show for a week said, "They're both lying," I think that would be about as significant with respect to the opinion of the overall fanbase as the Dixville Notch vote total is to Presidential elections.

Same as Century, I can handle a healthy dose of skepticism but it was really starting to get to be too much.

Sorry, I didn't see the above ask for an explanation on the Mazz/Beetle thing.

Basically, Beetle was saying that if the NFL didn't document the pre-game and halftime readings from the gauge, then this whole thing is pointless.  And Mazz basically said "if they say it's 2 PSI, then it's good enough for me."  And Beetle couldn't believe that Mazz would just take the ref's/NFL's word on anything.  Beetle basically started screaming at Mazz.
