He came back into the game a few minutes later and Carter playing and not being suspended (I was rooting for 40 games myself) only hurts the Penguins.

DeAngelo, now skating on the third pair, had Tortorella acknowledging to the media that the power-play quarterback was sheltered in Carolina, one of the strongest defensive teams, and that the Flyers didn’t realize how much work they needed to do with DeAngelo when they signed him to a two-year, $10 million deal last summer.

“His deficiencies defensively … kind of [stick] out more with us,” assessed Tortorella, and while he’s an offensive producer, “we know what Tony is … the defensive liability is something we need to work at.

“The amount of work that we need to do with him … I didn’t think that at the point in time that we got him. But it is what it is.”

That’s their Retro Reverse sweater which they’ve been wearing all year. The light blue is a nod to the Expos.

I feel like Detroit, Toronto, and Montreal should be exempted from future Reverse Retros. Between their jerseys being unchanged for almost a century, less some small tweaks, and their color palettes being extremely limited, what options do they have outside of some garbage one-off jerseys in colours they never wore?

That was the last time this year Montreal was wearing that jersey and the first time they won in it (had been 0-6-1)

He's still the king. Lucic - MacDermid is probably one of the only true heavyweight matchups you can find in the league today.
