Where he is racking up nice numbers. At 26 games and 31 minutes a game, his stat line sits at 20 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists. He is also shooting 38% on 3 pointers, but only 60% FT. Oh, and he is making just over $7 million a year.
Should tell people all they need to know about the G league.

You can only be exactly who you are.
True. Although I’m also a Cal guy and big Jaylen fan, so I’ll probably avoid that one in particular. I’m also not a Bender fan, from everything I’ve seen, though I’ll watch him more closely now. Free tryouts with nothing to lose are fun.

Marquese Chriss does rock, however.

Poor Al Horford: -26 in 8 minutes in the first half against the newly Kyrie-free Nets. The Philadelphia boo-birds are vocal tonight.

Nets on a 40-8 run

Edit it got up to 44-8 run then Philly closed on a 12-2 unfortunately

Brooklyn’s offense is atrocious and a lot of it starts with DeAndre Jordan never setting a good screen.

All things considered he has had one of the best statistical games you’ll ever see from a dead guy.

They are playing Wilson Chandler in crunch time. That is essentially all you need to know about the Nets in this game.

Rockets are outscoring the Warriors 50-3 from the three-point line at the half (15 made threes plus 5 Harden fts off of 3fga).

Paschall's drive-dunk on Harden and Bowman's flying rejection of Westbrook are my sole highlights. Well, that plus the memory that this team clanged 27 straight with a Finals appearance theirs for the taking. :)

By end of last night’s game, Burks contributed 19 points off bench, including five of Philly’s nine points in OT.
Burks will take minutes from Korkmaz, which is fine by me.
He will be a good addition for the 6ers. He can get buckets, including from deep and play-make. Probably one of the better lowkey deadline acquisitions.

Embiid said afterwards that it’s nice to have someone who can create his own shot.

Now it’s on to Milwaukee for Saturday night’s national TV game. Simmons should be ready. Good litmus test for Philly.

There is a decent chance the Bucks beat them by 40.

Not 15....Not 20....Not 30....Not 35...…..Freakin FORTY!

Burks is by all accounts a great guy, too — always smiling, giving off positive vibes, lifting up teammates, etc. That’s not nothing on a team like the Sixers. All Warrior and Jazz fans love him.

GR3’s another lovable one, and I think similar in overall quality to Burks, depending on what you’re looking for. Burks is the much better creator off the bounce, but the flipside of that is an occasional tendency to pound the ball and slow the game down. GR3 lacks AB’s ball skills but is a more explosive athlete and better shooter and defender.

Anyway, great pickup by the Sixers. Hoping at least one of them makes his way back to the Bay this summer.

Kevin McHale commented at some point last night that the 76ers did not seem to be having much fun. But when the game finally went in Philly’s favor, Burks and Embiid were smiling and laughing.
Not sure of McHale’s context but the first half was not fun for Philly. The 44-8 run came right after DeAndre Jordan replaced the guy with big hair at center (Jarrett Allen). It took Brett Brown way too long to respond. They finally started defending the lob in the third quarter.
This team is not fun to watch. I nodded off with Philly leading 20-4. Woke up to a 20-point deficit.

I guess no one watched Trae Young go for 50 against MIA? I didn't.

This 3P shot with the and 1 is pretty impressive.
I actually was watching that. Trae's mechanics are so unconventional: The low release point, the quick hands, the willingness to pull up from anywhere. Was pretty cool to see the kids make some big plays late in the fourth. With under a minute, Hunter hit a huge 3 to tie it up. Then the subsequent possession, Cam stole the ball from Dragic and took it coast-to-coast. Thinking about going to the game tomorrow night against Dallas.

Zion’s shot chart from last night is glorious. All 17 shots in the paint, mostly inside 3 feet. Watching Zion get position on Whiteside so easily with his girth is fantastic. The Pelicans hit the jackpot with the ping pong balls. We need Lakers/Pelicans as the 1/8.

Memphis has the toughest remaining strength of schedule in the league, and New Orleans the easiest. It's there waiting for us...

NBA refs need to make LA/NOLA happen.
but Zion is so damn round, I'm not sure he's going to make it to the end of the season. I thought after 3 weeks of playing we'd see some winter weight melt off.

We get a Pels vs. Lakers preview on Tuesday night.

Lol yeah, I'm not a Zion hater (loved how he's playing recently, dominating inside), but he's channeling an inner Augustus Gloop these days.

Zion’s tubbiness notwithstanding, man, these Pels are such a joy to watch. The contrast last night between their free-flowing, unselfish offense and the Blazers’ stagnant, all-day Melo/CJ isolation game was striking. Props to Alvin Gentry.

Unsurprisingly, the Pels are #2 in the NBA this season in passes per possession where the Blazers are dead last. Stotts should really be canned one of these days, for aesthetic reasons alone. Lillard deserves better.

I’m also loving Lonzo Ball lately. He plays in such a smooth, uptempo, selfless way it kinda makes me want LaMelo. I could live with a 6’-8” version of Lonzo.

Grand Poobah LaVar incessantly instructing Kerr to play through LaMelo instead of Steph would get old quickly.

As a general rule, I'd be hesitant about getting into bed with the Balls:eek: unless you're into that thing

Tonight's Sixers-Bucks game is going to be great, I hope that I'll have the chance to watch it. Lots of interesting subplots on the Sixer's end - Horford's awful Nets performance, Brown on the hot seat, etc.

I usually check non-Celtics scores when I wake up and just watch highlights, but I’m going to do no spoilers for this game and watch the replay.

The Road Sixers will probably let me down, but I’m intrigued nonetheless.

Yeah, it's a minor concern, but LaVar seems to be making himself scarcer lately, and Lonzo is spreading his wings accordingly. I suspect the path for LaMelo will be significantly smoother now that Lonzo has cleared it (and the press have presumably learned their lesson about biting at every silly morsel Lavar throws out there).

As far as on court: I'm not 100% sold on LaMelo (concerned about his D and shooting), but the Warriors still need someone in the old Livingston/Iguodala role. Steph's ability to be elite on and off ball make him a good fit with that type of player. Plus he could spell Steph when he sits. And obviously, everyone fits with Klay.

Similarly, Lonzo looks like a nice fit with Jrue Holiday, whether on court with him or as a replacement.

Lonzo's an interesting player and developing nor at all how most people thought. The story was he'd actually have to be able to drive to the hoop for his skill set to work and that his 3 point shot might develop into something passable. He's shooting .370 on the year on 308 attempts. 40% over hist last 24 games. If he develops into an above average shooter from 3, it changes everything.

Throughout his career he's had a better 3 point % than corner 3 point % by a healthy margin too. That's weird, isn't it? Career .285 from the corners, .336 overall. This year, .370 vs .338. 23.1% of his attempts are from the corner.

Also can't wait until Towns returns. Trading 1 rotation player for 3 is huge, especially when all 3 can shoot. I'm an admitted Beasley fan boy though. Always wanted to find a way to get him and/or Monte Morris on the Celtics. I dunno how Denver always finds these guys. Not only that, they find them, trade them away and miss nothing because they have guys like Michael Porter in the wings.

edit: Now that I think about, Lonzo Ball is kind of in a dream scenario if he actually can hit 3 pointers at a decent clip. Zion, Ingram and Jrue hide his flaws. Celtics should bang the tires on Jaxson Hayes too. I don't see how he fits in with NO.
