Don't they have 2 left? It's pretty standard for coaches to save those in case they need to advance the ball multiple times. If OKC had hit a 3 when Westbrook turned the ball over there, that scenario would have been in play.

My guess is that Zarren et all have figured out that not calling a TO there against OKC gives the C's some sort of advantage vs having the Thunder set up their defense

That's a good foul. Westbrook blows, but he probably makes the layup, so it's the same result, at worst.

He was trying to get the ball to just graze the rim and ricochet right back to him. It’s not a bad strategy imo, the odds of getting an offensive rebound on a missed FT are not good.

Impressive win. It's good for them to find a way to gut it out, especially when they didn't do the usual "Kyrie comes back at the 6 minute mark and they blow it out" thing.
