Is this where the Marcus factor might matter?believe this is you will, and I know this sounds like the Nomar Baskin Robbins story, but...
I live in Tampa and Austin Ainge played golf at the course I belong to with the teaching pro (a Maine guy and a big C’s fan) and Ainge said that the team has had to have multiple conversations with him about not dogging it and playing much harder
That’s a SoSH deep cut and I’m here for it.Wait until they give Sudfeld minutes

Teague deserves the minutes tonight, he's played hard after not seeing the court for awhile and has been decent. We need to see what we have in guys like Teague.
He's also 1/16 from deep in his last 7 games.Theis has been pretty invisible the last few games.
I can say that the story surprised me at the time but the more I pay attention to him, the more sense it makes. Is this where the Marcus factor might matter?
They're 100% staring down the barrel of a seven game losing streak heading into the break.Articles have been written nearly daily for the last week- ten days that the C's have hit rock bottom.
They haven't. Not yet. Not sure how it can get worse, but they haven't figured anything out. I'm not sure who's going to lead the intervention, but so far, no one in that locker room has stepped, player or coach.
Not sure, but his energy is up, while rest of team is flatNesmith seems to get the defensive rotation thing better than most guys on this team right now.
Tatum is a couple weeks from his 23rd birthday and has gotten lauded as a potential top 3-5 player in the league. It's not all that surprising if he started believing his own press clippings.90% of Gorman's frustration, from the interview today, was directed at Tatum
Ill have to listen to the interview. But that lines up because Gorman is definitely plugged in90% of Gorman's frustration, from the interview today, was directed at Tatum
Whenever I've seen him against real competition this year, he gets abused. Granted, there hasn't been a lot of that.I know Waters is small, and we mostly only see him in garbage time, but he can penetrate and pass. Are we sure we shouldn't try him wtih the second unit to see if he can create some movement and offense? He's probably not overall better than Teague, but I always like what he gets going (albeit in garbage time)
In the 2 games this year where he's played meaningful minutes he's a combined 2/16 shooting and a -23 in 47 total minutes, so sounds about like what they're doing this game so sure why notI know Waters is small, and we mostly only see him in garbage time, but he can penetrate and pass. Talk about a guy not playing hard is like "can't hit a fastball" very bad sign. Hope this is nothing. His body language sucks a lot of the time, so it could be perception rather than reality.Tatum is a couple weeks from his 23rd birthday and has gotten lauded as a potential top 3-5 player in the league. Not everyone is Jaylen. In fact, very few are.
We did try and Tatum almost punched him he made so many lazy plays.I know Waters is small, and we mostly only see him in garbage time, but he can penetrate and pass. because he's stunk since his first summer camp? There's absolutely no reason to believe Edwards can play. And I liked the pick, but it seems pretty clear he doesn't have NBA skills. I will be thrilled to be wrong but just don't see it with him. There's a lot more reason for hope with Waters, who at least has quickness and passing vision (though I don't have a lot of hope there, just a bit)We did try and Tatum almost punched him he made so many lazy plays.
I would like to see more Edwards. He hit a 3 early then was benched all game because ???
His shot is pretty. Hopefully he can get it going now that he's been getting more playing time and more confidence.Play Nesmith more.
They have the Kanter and another small trade exception. But not much to trade to get anything back is there? I guess you can trade a future second (or Grant, who someone might still value a little bit) for almost anything different. Agree they need more athleticism off the bench, and more shooting. Well, most anything would help....but really, what do they have to trade?Even if the team is hopeless, I don’t think Ainge should just do absolutely nothing until summer. What message does it send?
Even if it’s just a vet buyout looking for minutes to beef up his resume before free agency. Semi and Grant are fucking terrible, their usefulness is so limited to like 2% of matchups that they are effectively useless. Their only hope of being even neutral on any given night is if they are hitting threes on the wide open looks they get, because they are incapable of any other offensive action.
Given the contract situation, running it back with mostly this roster is like 30% likely as is, so you might as well get started finding new players ASAP.
Which interview was this?90% of Gorman's frustration, from the interview today, was directed at Tatum
may want to save our 1st round pick, this season is getting ugly real quickHonestly not sure how Danny can improve this roster significantly. That Kemba contract is killing them.
I have no doubt that Tatum is/was affected by COVID, but if he should sit it’s for his shitty, selfish style of offense lately. If Jaylen truly has tendonitis and Jayson has trouble breathing then they need to sit both of them.
This team is not going anywhere and you may as well tank for the higher pick. Fuck, maybe even have Kemba get surgery.
It’s fucking moronic to risk future years and health for this garbage team
