Extracting email addresses from a list of bounced emails

I work with a lot of online surveys, and I'm constantly sending out automated emails from the online system to various school systems, one email for each member of a school community (students, staff, parents, etc). I deal with schools all over NE and all over the world, so needless to say, I'm sending a lot of emails..

As you can imagine, I get a lot of bounced emails due to bad addresses provided by the client school.

The problem is, it's up to me to go through all the bounced email messages, copy the address that failed, and put each address a list that I can then send back to the school.

Does anyone know of a piece of software I can buy, or a script I can use, or write, that will do this for me automatically? I simply want something that can go through all the emails in a specific folder in my email client and get the email address that failed from the body of each bounced email, and put all the failed email addresses in a simple text file.

I use Thunderbird but I'd be flexible if there's a solution to my question that involves a different client

It's been a three or four years since I've used it, but I'm pretty sure that Mail Chimp offered that functionality. Somebody else can probably verify that for me, but I'm like 75% sure.

If you use any automation (mail chimp is free), you can segment those out into a spreadsheet with a few clicks. I use Marketo, but without knowing details of your company, I wouldn't recommend the $80k a year for it.
