England have solved their ball progression issues by having Kane come very deep to receive the ball between the lines in midfield. It's been very effective.

England should start getting subs ready. They have a much deeper bench, they should use it to try to win the game in normal time.

This game has become surprisingly open.

Pickford/Schmeichel will be the difference. Kasper won’t make a mistake and Pickford will do something stupid.

Not sure if it’s this ref’s habit or just camera angles, but I keep seeing his red card before he flashes the yellow and it’s unnerving.

Yep, this ref keeps his yellow and red cards in the same pocket, and every time he pulls out the yellow you can see the flash of red as well.

Sterling is posiitive when he causes chaos in opposing defenses, but he’s aggravating when he thinks he can dribble past everyone like Messi or Maradona.

79 minutes in and Southgate has made only one sub. He's got talented fresh legs, he needs to use them.

Vestergaard has been big today for the Danes.
Losing Christensen will hurt, even with Andersen being solid. Lose some cohesion.

England have been pretty disappointing in this half. They are still playing cautiously, but as the more talented team they should be playing to win. They don't want to play for the penalties lottery.

Also where are the subs??

Just curious, who would you bring on and take off if you are Southgate? Do you take off Kane or Sterling to bring on Rashford or Sancho?

The crazy thing is that England have really talented players on the bench, arguably just as talented as those on the field in several key spots.

He needs to get Henderson or Bellingham on in midfield and Sancho and/or Foden on for Sterling and/or Mount.

Mount?
And maybe taking Sterling out isn’t the worst thing in the world.

Kane should stay on until he needs a cane..

Sancho and Foden for Sterling and Mount, Henderson for Rice or Phillips, maybe Trippier for Walker if I'm feeling really aggressive.

Denmark have made some really cynical fouls and avoided getting booked in this second half.

I recognize football ain't fair, but England really deserves to advance here
England have really created very little, esp. in the second half. Denmark haven't either but they hit a brilliant free kick and have defended well. 1-1 is a fairish result right now I think.

Denmark seemed to playing very cynically much of the second half. England was the only one putting pressure on and asking questions.

For a team that changed out its entire attack like a hockey line change, Denmark offered nothing going forward over the last 20 minutes or so.
