It’s funny - I’m pretty critical of announcers, and I know I’m in the minority - but I don’t mind this guy.

Maybe it’s because he sounds like he could be reading a 1930s newsreel. Maybe I’m just happy to be watching soccer

I don't find these guys that bad. I think people have a natural preference to people with British/Scottish accents. An American (and Venezuelan) commentator are going to be different but I don't think they are inherently bad.

I do generally have this preference but I'm ok with some American announcers. I think Strong/Holden as the lead Fox team are fine, for example.

IDK about Ukraine but this is clearly Sweden's best side, I don't know who they could bring in that could make a big difference, other than having fresh legs. If Zlatan was healthy...

For all the early love that Isak got after the first game, I just don't see it with him. He's an instant turnover and he seems to be walking around at this point. Too bad they don't have the Zlatan for 20 minutes at the end of games.
