According to Roberto Martinez, deBruyne is fit and ready to go for today.

I'd start with the same group they did against Russia (Munier in for Castagne who is out for the tournament) and have KDB ready for a 60th minute substitution. Thought Hazard looked fit off the bench, would like to see another healthy and productive 30 minute run out for him too

I don't know if anyone else is watching this, but I have to say, I did not expect the Ukraine to be the team that gets involved with the most open and back and forth games, yet here I sit, thoroughly entertained by them once again.

Another pretty fun goal. Goalie makes the save on the penalty kick but it bounces right out to the guy who kicked and he slams it into the goal.

Gotta be honest, I didn't expect the Ukraine to be such floppers. Figured they were harder than that.

Well deserved pen saved but the rebound pounded home as North Macedonia gets one back. Alioski another L**ds player representing well at this tourney

That last flop was incredible.

Watching these world class athletes writhe on the ground after getting lightly touched is always enjoyable.

The hand to the neck flop on the far sideline was amazing, but the "I just blatantly smashed my opponent in the knee with a kick...OW MY TOE!" on the pk was brilliant

North Macedonia really pushing for the equalizer, and Shevchenko wisely makes some subs to change it up.

Also funny to see Yarmolenko hand the armband to Stepanenko given their history.

Wow, overall 1 for 5 now in PKs for the tournament, though the one earlier still went in.

Poor height on the at PK, but excellent save. That ball was struck hard.

Man that was entertaining. Shame North Macedonia couldn't equalize but that was fun.

Kind of stunning how uncomfortable the Belgians are getting pressed.

Man why can't Chelsea ever get guys like Lukaku, T. Hazard and De Bruyne. What interplay.

"The Hazard Brothers" sounds like a No Depression-era alt-country duo.

A Lost Time
Is Mark Champion giving his color commentator the silent treatment? Seems like every time he says something Mark Champion doesn't say anything and only talks to continue play by play. Absolutely no banter whatsoever. Granted the color commentator sounds a bit like an overgrown child, but my God, it's like they had a relationship and he cheated on him.

Gutting for Denmark. Quite a strike though. That De Bruyne guy doesn't suck.

Bummed that Denmark is likely out, they deserve better.

But even given Witsel looking rusty and Eden Hazard not really getting involved, I think Belgium have shown they're looking ready to try to match pre-tournamnet expectations.

Crap, post game mentioned Erickson will be getting a mechanical heart regulator installed. Hopefully he enjoys a long and rewarding life.

I believe Daley Blind got an IDC a couple years ago and it has not slowed down his career so far. Obviously, every case is different, but this isn’t career ending in and of itself. I do hope that Eriksen is slow and cautious in his return.

If I could magically have the technique & vision of any player at this tournament, it would be Frenkie de Jong. Not the hair, but the rest of it.

Speaking of goals, well played by Malen to lay that off last second. The keeper oh so close to the save.
