Tough call. Man, I'm so partial to All the Names that I went with Saramago.

I rely on you folks smarter than me: any major losses due to suspension for either team that will change the course of the game?

Just remembered that Ramsey is out for Wales, a guy that looked, to my eyes, to be a very important part of their attack.

Ramsey is a big loss for Wales. Carvalho is out for Portugal. If Pepe can't play, that is a huge loss for Portugal. He was tremendous in the previous match. I don't think there's a big drop off from Carvalho to Danilo for Portugal, so I don't think that will play a big role.

Pepe is out and Bruno Alves in. Raphael Guerreiro returns to LB. Moutinho remains on the bench, where he has been effective as a sub.

Well usually Portugal has the bigger name(s), but they haven´t won a single game after 90mins.
Hope for something else, but it could be a game with very few chances and entertainment.
Of course, Wales is the better story and much more likeable, so I hope for them to win:
1-0 Wales.

Joining the Wales bandwagon 18 minutes before the tip (Unfortunately I will have to exit should they win and Germany advance for some...financial reasons).

Is there room at the Inn?

Great looks, both in away shirts in green.
Portugals home shirt was too dark and looked too similar to the dark green Wales away shirt.

That was a hard tackle(+ball) against Ronaldo.
And the Iceland fans with the HUHUHUHUH are also here :)

Wales is playing rugby so far. I know they aren't used to getting this far in a tournament, but someone better tell them this is footie before they find themselves on 10 men.

Portugal are consistently good enough to have a lot of the ball but not good enough to consistently create anything other than half chances with it

They are waiting for the 23rd cross to finally find Ronaldo´s head/curly grease.

Looking forward to Portugal winning the tournament with never winning a game in regulation.

It's a hard way to score a goal, that's for sure. At some point someone will have to at least try to beat the fullback to the touch line and pull something back as opposed to just pumping yet another cross into Ronaldo

Finally got to tune into the Wales - Port game and am greeted by a team wearing black and neon green and another wearing, i dunno, sea foam?

My take on the first half:

Portugal is (again) running a very unimaginative offense. Sanches has a lot of quickness but they are just not doing anything other than crossing to Ronaldo.

Credit to Wales though in making it very difficult to find holes. Bale has made some interesting chances out of seemingly nothing. They need to pick the pace up a bit, but I don't know if they can do that and still play their game.

Sanches has had a tough start to the 2nd half. Well on his way to getting subbed. I wouldn't advocate it, Portugal desperately need a player who can beat a man on the dribble but he's been giving the ball away cheaply

the only time a ball i've kicked dips like Bale's did is when it has run out of velocity and is about to trickle into the keeper's arms

Kind of hard to play with a "high enough tempo" when you are lined up in a 5-3-1-1, Stewart Robson.

I mean, they should be proud for what they achieved. I don´t need everybody to cry. But players walking around, joking and laughing after dropping out in the Semifinal vs. an uninspiring opponent in a more or less close game..? Don´t like that.
