This sucks. His presence gave Portugal a punchers chance.

The man is a preening douchebag, but the pain on his face was palpable and made me feel for the guy.

He knew he was done at the first challenge. He tried to play through given it's the finals. Damn shame.

Can I go bet a lot of money of France now?

Carvalho can't cope with the pace of France's midfield. May as well not be playing for the most part

Sanches not having a good match so far. Lot of sloppy play and he's dropping so deep that it's extra dangerous

If Portugal can survive this half without being scored upon, momentum shifts to them as France will start to feel pressure. Plus the inevitable Cristiano half time speech.

I'm surprised that Deschamps has Payet so far back, he's not a great defender and more effective up field.

Portugal weathered the storm as France took the foot off the gas. If Ronny was still out there they'd be in shape for an upset.

France getting a lot of good balls in the box. Portugal playing organized defense but too many dangerous crosses/passes. Eventually France will put one in.

(And as I type this, the header.... and "putain" closeup)

What on earth is Sanches still doing as a #6 when Quaresma puts a ball in like that?

If you're playing a false 9 like Nani he needs some support from the other 2-3 offensively talented players on the pitch.
