kicker.de has the following lineups, but nothing official, yet:

France: Lloris - Sagna, Rami, Koscielny, Evra - Kanté - Pogba, Matuidi - Griezmann, Payet - Giroud.

Romania: Tatarusanu - Sapunaru, Chiriches, Grigore, Rat - Hoban, Pinilii - Popa, Stanciu, Stancu - Keseru

I really thought Coman would get this start over Payet..let´s see how this plays out.

(I honestly would not know a single player of Romanias starting lineup, if he would walk across the street. At least i know Chiriches played in the Premier League someday and I bet there are ten players from Steaua on their roster :) .)

Don't forget Romania's captain, Razvan Rat!
In addition to his awesome name, he also played for West Ham a bit, so he's not unknown to Premier League fans.

I've heard a little buzz about Nicusor Stanciu, a young 10 who plays for Steaua, but I'm in the same boat. I certainly couldn't tell Stanciu from Stancu, that's for sure.

Dunno where else to put this, so here it is...

Was listening to NPR about an hour ago, to a report about security and (French President) Hollande's remarks about the security situation. Without going full V&N, it was a weird (French?) message, with an acknowledgement that they will do their best and there's a non-zero chance their best isn't good enough.

Apparently, the police/military presence is... palpable at venues. But the big venues are much harder targets than "soft" bars & restaurants, where spectators will also congregate.

Anyway, I hope & pray this is the only time I need to think about security but it is a HUGE part of the storylines, off the pitch. I also fervently hope we don't need to talk about it any more.

Yes, a competent broadcaster, thankfully.
The world of cable/TV is so easy yet so complicated. I subscribe to Fox Soccer, the online version, so that I could watch the Champions League and now Copa America. I have cable but I don't have the package with ESPN. So, I'm really 0/2 on being able to watch the Euros at home.

I have Sling TV app w/ sports package so I get ESPN, beIn, and UniMas, and includes access to WatchEspn. No Fox though. Normally use it on Roku but sometimes on phone/tablet/laptop

AdGuard Adblocker + VipBox.tv . (plus Chromecast, in my case). Only time I've ever seen Vipbox fail to deliver working streams was Mayweather-Pacquiao.

Is Ian Darke not allowed to make references to Giroud's meaty French forehead? Has Arlo White trademarked the phrase?

Pogba is really a special player. Who was the last player that combined that level of technique with the size/power/speed/athleticism? I can't remember anyone like him.

Payet and Matuidi have put so many good balls into the box. If France had a better striker than Giroud they'd be up by now.

Edit- NM, I thought Lacazette was on the squad.

He has a pretty freakish combination of skills and attributes.

My big question about him is how valuable you can be if you're neither a player who scores/assists a lot of goals or a player that really controls and runs games from midfield, always getting on the ball, dictating play, etc. Obviously you can still be an absolutely fantastic player that would improve any team but can you be among the top 5 or top 10 players in the world?

If I have a criticism of Pogba it's that as today he often gets on the ball then doesn't seem to know what to do.
It feeds into his lack of assists, he seems too often to take too long to make a decision and the chance is gone.

After I praised their competence, several video problems in the first half.

Anyone know why Chiriches got a yellow card?

Giroud gonna Giroud. France hasn't been all that great but they should still have a goal or two.

If its still 0-0 over 60 minutes, I'd drop Payet into Matuidi's position and put Martial in at LW.

What in the world are they going to play here? like 8 attackers.

It appears to be like a 4-1-5

So Payet who Deschamps said wasn't good enough to play in the Euros for France:
1 goal
1 assist
8 chances created.
