Hopefully this is a sign of ESPN taking hockey more seriously.

That said how can anyone complain about the job NBC and NBCSN have done so far with the NHL. It gets top billing on all platforms and over the last 3 years (at least) every single playoff game is broadcast. When ESPN had the rights it was just one more property among the dozen others ESPN held. It would be worse now since ESPN is about 70% NFL and 30% NBA no matter what sport is in season.

I have zero interest in ESPN getting back into hockey. It was and always will be the ignored stepchild. They sucked at it anyways.
