You thought Howard Webb was pretty good, I bet.
I mean, the defender's arms away from the body and blatantly knocking down a shot on target.

One can easily see a different ref giving 2 justifiable pks today. It wouldn't even require a United partisan like Webb.

Ginger Mourinho gets some credit for the tactics today. Great effort by Burnley to take the point.

California. Duh.
Let's all laugh at Man United,
Let's all laugh at Man United,
Let's all laugh at Man United,
'cause they've still got no wins.

Fuck off. It hits the BODY first, then the arm. SFIC is correct that we've seen it given, but usually always in error. That was a deflection off the defender's body, not a clear effort to "blatantly knock down" the ball.

It was a clear effort to block a shot in the box at the end of a game taken by a ManU player.

That's a handball and an execution,

Wanted to wait until I saw the replay again.

I'm obviously bias, like most are when it comes to United, but I still believe you can argue for a PK there.

The ball hits the defenders chest first and bounces onto his arms. The fact that he nearly caught the ball and used his arms to control possession is my biggest complaint.

Manchester United could be denied two clear penalties every game for the next three years and the all-time ledger would still be in their favor.

Three minutes in and already Aguero has an ouchy. Great player but cannot stay healthy and probably needs to be limited to a sub role or he'll break down.

Per twitter, the last time ManU failed to win one of their first 3 PL games was 07/08. They won the PL and CL that year.

They also had Sir Alex and a certain Cristiano Ronaldo, not to mention Howard Webb in his prime.

Well, I'll guarantee that one of those things isn't going to happen again.

This is the first time city have been able to play Jovetic and Aguero together. I'm very excited to watch this, everyone is great on the ball

Fernando off with an injury. Fernandinho replaces him.

It appears that it will be awhile before we see the "Between Two Ferns" midfield, sadly.

This just in: in their head-to-head matchup, neither Lee Cattermole nor Joey Barton have been sent off yet.

Barton has been a good citizen since he came back from France.  He might actually grab a baby from the stands and punt it across the field once that build up spills over.

The Guardian MBM says Cattermole has been booked and then giving a final warning.

You know who's playing very well in the City-Stoke match? Ryan Shawcross. People still wouldn't prefer him to Terry, huh?

Finally, some commercials. Something might actually happen.

City looks complacent and uninterested. Of course, they could turn it on at any time but this has been a shit performance thus far. Sagna has done nothing (noticeable that Zabaleta's not on the field), Yaya looks like he needs a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday and no one else has had the space or time to do anything.

Credit, I suppose, goes to the huge (literally, huge) defense of Stoke, who are using Shawcross, Huth and N'Zonzi to clog the middle and keep the smaller Man City from doing anything on crosses.

Victor Moses remains a ballhog, Peter Crouch remains funny to watch at all times.

Please, Manuel...do something to liven this shit up in the second half, OK?

Goal of the year candidate from Diouf...wow. Length of the field and an understated finish that made Joe Hart look like rec league keeper.

Brilliant run, Stoke's legs are really giving City trouble in the 2nd half.

Nasri & Jovetic off - Dzeko & Navas on.

City's malaise and complacency is astonishing, especially after the way they professionally took care of business in the first two weeks. Lots of fatigued, uninspired efforts.

EDIT: Jovetic, not Aguero,

Stoke is going to score again on a counter in the next 5-10 minutes.

Only took City 75 minutes to realize that every corner that went into the box in the air was being cleared by Crouch.

Brilliant adjustment, Manuel. Really proactive management.

City not getting that (and it was dubious) is at least a makeup for Stoke not getting one in the first half.

Quit your crying and play ball.

I love that Williamson almost ruined that because he was busy celebrating what he thought would be a goal...
