Emails Disabled

This issue started occurring a few days ago. I have no idea why it was triggered as delivery on the email account attached to SoSH account (att.net) has been fine.
 
At the top of all pages, I see the following message...
 
Emails Disabled
Emails that we send to you are being returned, we have automatically disabled any emails we send to you. 
 
When I click on the button to "Update Your Email Address" I am taken to a page where I can enter a new email address. When I do this (gmail.com) and submit, I then get a message that the email address is already in use. I have no idea how.
 
This is the page where I am attempting to fix the email issue (Settings > Email & Password):

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas on how to resolve?
