No better sport in the world. This is awesome.
Yeah, but I don't think it's worth the cost of staying up late for me. I'm just rooting for the lesser of two evils in this one. A win by the more evil evil wouldn't be the worst thing that ever happened.

I'm very happy the Rangers won but I feel bad for Holtby. He played out of his mind this series and deserved better. Hell be almost got that last goal too.

This will be a great conference finals on both sides though.

This can't be right. Twitter just told me that Lundqvist has won 10 consecutive Game 7s?

I'm too lazy to look it up.

His GAA in game 7s is under 1.

Tampa was 3-0 against New York this year but they haven't played each other since December 1.  All three of their games were in a two week span (November 17 & 26 and December 1).

OK, incredible goaltending performance all around, but no excuse for Holtby to fall on his ass reaching to his left for the initial slapper. Can't tell for sure but I don't think it even reached him and wasn't much of a threat to begin with. Haven't heard that mentioned on TV yet but I think that was a very avoidable goal.

Thought the Orpik hit was clean.  Boyle was bent down and if you slow it down and go frame by frame, he goes shoulder to head with the elbow tucked, which is largely because of Boyle bending down.

No chance for Holtby. Puck bounced off Orpik (ha!) and right to Stepan. Holtby has to honor the original shot.

I thought the same but I was not tempted to step into the mine field at the time.

Yeah but there's a whole lot of knee extension right before contact.  It definitely looks to me like he's trying to go high on that hit, even if he didn't actually leave the ice right before.
