Speechless. How could he do that? Legacy forever ruined. All time great player but should be an asterisk if they win a few titles

Disappointing on a number of levels but the Warriors are going to be incredible to watch.

Warriors heel turn that started in the Finals now continues.

The big winner besides the Warriors has to be Lebron. Everyone will be rooting for him to take down the team of front runners from the Bay.

Westbrook might try to score 85 the first game against Oakland. He also probably told Durant he was 100% leaving next year.

Ainge should be offering the Nets pick(s) for Russell Westbrook right now.
Obv not happening here but OKC would be best served to move Westbrook right now rather than lose him for nothing. The Lakers should make a push around Russell to lock him up right now.

I'm hoping his foot falls off and Currys knee explodes.

This kind of shit bums me out. Go be the man somewhere. Way to be Currys lapdog.

Ugh.

Yup. OKC's franchise just got gutted. Too bad although I bet people in Seattle are happy.

This. Sam Presti has to trade Westbrook now as he can't risk losing him next summer for nothing.

Talk about a league-warping decision.

I guess it's the choice I would've made if I were him, even if I feel like being a giant crybaby about it.

Agreed on LeBron---he is now the good guy.

he did the one and one so that GS could sign him to a higher cap number. the option is if he hurts his foot again.

the NEts pick plus AB for Westbrook? OKC clearly has to trade him now

So I guess the last month has been amazing for LeBron's image. Now he's the hero again, I'd wager 90% of America will be rooting for him to stick it to the Warriors next season.

You wouldn't be saying that if he joined Boston.
It wouldn't have been the same decision. With GS, he's joining the best team in the NBA, with the 2-time reigning MVP, that should have come off its second straight NBA championship. He is not the guy to put them over the top. He'll obviously make them great, but if Draymond doesn't get suspended, they are gunning for their third straight title this coming year anyway.

Coming to Boston would have been completely different. Putting a middle-of-the-pack Eastern Conference team in the mix as title contender, restoring glory to one of the iconic franchises. Totally different, and it's not simply because we're fans of the Celtics.

This year's finals shows that it's never a coronation. Celts are gonna be good and have room to get even better.
