On the other hand, it's a chance to throw some praise on the pile of players you admire, both on your team and around the league. Which seems like it might perfectly fit the sort of fandom that is common around the Port Cellar.
This year was the first year I said "you know what? They're saying votes tonight count triple, or something? Sure, what the hell. I already have an account on nba.com somehow, I'll just click a bit during a commercial break". It gave me a completely disproportionate sense of investment in the results (from "WGAF" to "I hope a few of these guys come through, they deserve it"). I'm curious what the rest of you do.
