So what should the defender had done?wibi said:His right arm was being pulled back. He was trying to get it free. He didn't over balance to protect from the hit ...

No clue . But don't blame Harvin for taking that hit which is what Ed was trying to do.( . ) ( . ) and (_!_) said:So what should the defender had done?

What are you talking about? I wasn't blaming the receiver, I was saying his head level moved naturally as part of the play, and I have no idea what you want the defender to do. You wanted him thrown out of the game, which I assume means you want him diving right as his knees next time.
Maybe football isn't for you? That exact play will always be part of the game. Doesn't make it right or not a penalty. But it's not something that can be avoided.wibi said:No clue . But don't blame Harvin for taking that hit which is what Ed was trying to do.

He wants the defender to do what the league has mandated. Go low.
You said if Harvin didn't lean forward he wouldn't have taken that hit to the head. How is that not blaming Harvin?Ed Hillel said:What are you talking about? Just like with Gronk and Cobb!
It's no ones fault. That's the point. There will always b WR and DBS colliding. Sometimes they will hit heads. They are removing the intentional head launching. That hit wasn't that. It's an unfortunate part of the game. But it can't be taken out.wibi said:You said if Harvin didn't lean forward he wouldn't have taken that hit to the head. How is that not blaming Harvin?
And you've never made an emotional post about a spotting event? I saw a nasty hit and at first glance it looked intentional so I made a post. Unless you've never done that don't call me not hat BS

Because SET THE TONE. REX RYAN.DrewDawg said:Why does Seattle have 6 points because Carroll deferred? That doesn't make sense.
Deathofthebambino said:Ed, I just made a post in the other thread, but bottom line, the defender has to do whatever he has to do in order to avoid hitting the receiver in the head. The rule may not be a good rule, but it's the rule and it's getting called every time, even when it's questionable, which this one wasn't. Go for the knees, pull up, break down and wrap up with your arms, whatever. Just don't hit the guy in the head. No ifs, ands or buts.
I do not agree that the guy should be tossed. That's a college rule, and a stupid one at that, unless it's completely egregious and outside the bounds of what you see on a football play. This one was not that.
Try even thinking that we're fooled. The soxhop doth protest too much.soxhop411 said:Who the hell still watches idol?
