I know, it's annoying as hell. The scouts seem to have a real problem picking the right people and developing them. You'd they would have almost gotten a good one by accident in all this time.
Someone who likes to compile data could do a deep dive on this ... and see how many franchises have developed all-star caliber pitchers since Lester broke in. I think it's probably a smaller number than we'd believe.

Starting to think the Sox will do better without my poems.
Or maybe they’re just leaving me uninspired.
Back to 500. Fresh start tomorrow I guess.
I know they are a lot of work, and we can’t ask for 162 a year — or 180 when they win the World Series. Maybe cut down to one a week instead of cold turkey.

Your poems are consistently the highlight of every single game thread, even on the occasions that conclude with water. We need you to keep reminding us that baseball is supposed to be fun. Please hang in there because if there’s any reason to remain hopeful about this season, it’s your positive spirit and perseverance that will hopefully makes its way to the team itself!

Well, damn. You guys have inspired me to keep going. My life is generally a mess these days and I’m in a funk of depression that’s been going on too long. (Kind of like the Sox slump). This little rally of support is the best thing that happened today and means a lot to me. I’ll jump back in with a new one tomorrow!

Thank you! It's really appreciated. Hopefully in some way it's a little therapeutic for you. And I'm sure things will turn around for you soon.

Winston Churchill called it his "black dog", and they say his painting helped him out of it. Hopefully, your poems will be akin to the Great One's paintings. Cheers, and victory symbol!

Sorry to hear things aren't the best for you right now.

You should know the poems are very much a high point of the game threads - bright sparks of cleverness and amusement in a fog of meh.

To the extent that they're fun for you to do, and not an additional burden on you, please keep at it!

Maybe we should let @LynnRice75 continue to entertain, amuse and cheer us up without trying to tell him how to do so.
