Craig Breslow, you have my sword. Thank you for ridding us of one of my least favorite personalities to ever don the uniform.
Loved watching Sale pitch through 2018. But that was 5 years ago. Will not blame Sale for the contract or the various injuries he incurred since then, and will not be upset if he has a good season for the Braves. Good for Breslow for getting a prospect in return.
Sweet. I don’t have to read another insane post about someone predicting Sale would be a contributor to the roster and pitch for more than 125 innings.
That money was already available. The question is how much does this free up as $$$ is going to Atlanta as part of the deal.
AND we dont have to read another wire story about how the piss baby hurt himself again throwing a tantrum cuz he pitched bad.

Wow, all right. I admit I am a little sad at the final closing of the door for any Chris Sale Red Sox redemption arc. But, excited to see what Vaughn Grissom can do for us.

Don't have the exact money going to Atlanta in the deal but source says Red Sox will cover a "good amount" of his $27.5M salary for 2024.

This is very good and please remind me that it is very good even if Sale gets in the way back machine this year.

Just glanced at the LAD roster and I think they only have 3 left from 18 (may have missed a few).
Amen. Dispatching Chris Sale immediately makes this team easier to root for, regardless of the return.
There are good odds he'll have a miraculous bounceback year in his contract year with the Braves, but I am 100% comfortable with that risk.

Seems like a leap. There are other avenues to replacing Sale's 31 starts over the last 4 seasons.
